Sonic's Origin

It was a beautiful day on the floating island known as Angel island, when Dr Julian Kintobor (voiced by Mike Pollock) was searching for any animal that needs help. He was a scientist with a large unruly mustache and a haircut that was similar to Larry Fine of the Three Stooges, and wore glasses. When he got to a dead tree, Julian found what looked like a dead hedgehog on the ground, and couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor thing. Suddenly, he noticed something moving next to the hedgehog, which was a little hedgehog, most likely the dead one's child. Knowing that the little hedgehog needs help, Dr Kintobor take the little guy to his lab and gives him some food to help him restore his strength. When night came however, Julian noticed that the little hedgehog was getting sick and showed no signs of getting better. As he tried to think of a solution to save the little hedgehog, he then remembered Project Shadow and then an idea came to him. Julian then place the little hedgehog into a fusion chamber with a glass container on top, and then pulls a switch to fire a beam from a laser, powered by the Chaos emeralds, that hits the chamber and the energy of the emeralds were being absorbed into the little hedgehog's body. It wasn't long before the little hedgehog started to not only grow but change color from brown to blue and looking more anthropomorphic. Once the chamber was opened up, the hedgehog (voiced by Jason Griffith) spoke up. Hedgehog: "Oh... my head... what happened... wait... I'm talking... how am I talking?" Dr Kintobor: "Yes!, it worked!, thank goodness it worked, I feared for the worst..." Hedgehog: "What worked... wait... you're the human who took care of me..." Dr Kintobor: "Yes, my name is Dr Julian Kintobor, or Robotnik, but you can call me Dr Kintobor for short." Hedgehog: "Okay... but tell me... what happened to my body...?" Dr Kintobor: "I used the power of the Chaos emeralds to make you evolve into a Mobian hedgehog... in order to save your life as you were dying, looks like it worked just in time." Hedgehog: "Really?, thanks I guess... but why am I blue?" Dr Kintobor: "Hmm... perhaps a side effect of the transformation, though it looks good on ya." Hedgehog: "I can't argue with that, it does look good on me." said the Mobian hedgehog, as he looks at his new form. Later, Dr Kintobor went to do some experiments to test the hedgehog's new abilities from the transformation, and has discovered that he can run faster than the speed of sound now. Dr Kintobor: "Incredible... your speed is unmatched, fast enough to make a sonic boom... say... that should be your name, Sonic, like it?" Hedgehog: "Hmm... I like it, Sonic the Hedgehog has a nice ring to it." said Sonic, before Dr Kintobor gives Sonic a pair of white gloves to protect his hands, and a pair of red and white shoes to protect his feet as well. Dr Kintobor: "There, with these, you can run without hurting your feet much." Sonic: "Thanks Doc, say uh, would it be okay if I run around the island for a bit?" Dr Kintobor: "Sure, but be careful not to get too close to the borders of the island, you don't want to fall off the island after all." Sonic: "What do you mean?" Dr Kintobor: "In case you didn't know, this island is drifting in the middle of the sky, so if you go beyond it, you fall and it's a far drop and... I'm sure you can guess the rest." Sonic: "Gotcha, and don't worry, I'll be careful." said Sonic, before he runs off to who knows where. No more than a few minutes, Sonic managed to see the whole island, and he was amazed how beautiful it was. Suddenly, he noticed a group of robots in the area, and they were capturing some of the animals. Knowing that the animals were in trouble, Sonic rushed down the hill he was standing on and went to the scene where the robots were. As soon as he got close, Sonic tripped on a tree root and rolled up into a ball and smashed into one of the robots, free the animal that was inside the machine. Sonic: "Wow... guess I have a new trick that can handle this tin cans... but where did they come from anyway?" asked Sonic, before looked like a small hovercraft came to the scene, a large bald man with a large mustache, similar to the one Kintobor had, came to the scene. It was Dr Ivo Robotnik (voiced by Mike Pollock) and he was Dr Kintobor's twin brother. Dr Robotnik: "Well what do we have here... a Mobian, I could have sworn G.U.N. wiped you all out not too long ago." Sonic: "Who are you?" Dr Robotnik: "Me?, why I am the greatest mind on this planet, Dr Ivo Robotnik!, lead scientist of Guardians of United Nations... or G.U.N. for short, and I'm taking the Chaos emeralds so I can make my dream of creating Robotnik land and world domination a reality!" Sonic: "I don't know how you know about the Chaos emeralds, but you're not gonna use them for evil, not on my watch." Dr Robotnik: "Oh really?, you think you can stop me rodent?" Sonic: "I don't think, I know, and for your information Eggman, the name is Sonic the Hedgehog, and I will not let you harm my home." Dr Robotnik: "Eggman?!, are you making fun of me because of my shape?!" Sonic: "You just figured that out?, pretty slow for someone claiming to be the world's greatest mind." said Sonic with a chuckle, which of course made Robotnik growled in anger. Dr Robotnik: "Alright Sonic... if you wanna fight me, then wish granted!" shouted Robotnik, before he sends out his robots, which looked like flying eggs, to attack Sonic, who managed to beat them all with the same trick he used on the robot he hit earlier. In less than 3 minutes, the robots were defeated, much to Robotnik's dismay. Sonic: "Ha!, is that all you got Eggman?" Dr Robotnik: "Oh I'm not done yet... for I'll be back... and when I do... I will make you suffer!" shouted Robotnik, before he flies away from the scene, while Sonic rushes back to Dr Kintobor, who was looking at his watch on his arm. Dr Kintobor: "Hmm... I would think with your speed, you would have come back sooner." Sonic: "Well I got a little sidetracked, some Eggman tried to capture some of the animals with his robots." Dr Kintobor: "Someone was on the island?" Sonic: "Yeah, he looked like you but fat, bald and called himself Dr Ivo Robotnik, and he somehow knows about the Chaos emeralds." Dr Kintobor: "What?!, Ivo was here?!" Sonic: "You know him?" Dr Kintobor: "Yes... he's my twin brother... and a man I wouldn't be friends with..." Sonic: "Really?, I didn't think you had relatives." Dr Kintobor: "Well Ivo and I don't see eye to eye... and I thought he was dead until now... after the incident many years ago in the Space Colony Ark." Sonic: "What happened...?" Dr Kintobor: "Well... that's a story for another time, now we need to get you trained." Sonic: "What for?" Dr Kintobor: "Well since now I know my twin is alive and can find the island, and what you said about him wanting the Chaos emeralds, he'll come back, and we need to be ready for another battle, as we're the only ones between Ivo and the emeralds." Sonic: "Well... I am curious of what else I can do... so let's do this." said Sonic with a thumbs up.
