Here Comes Team Chaotix

In the lab, the good doctor was busy working on something that looked like a big television set. Tails: "Hey Doc, what cha making?" Dr Kintobor: "I'm making a television set, something for us to watch the news of the world below the island." Tails: "Really?, that's amazing." Dr Kintobor: "I guess so, it's a common thing to have on the planet... well most places have them at least." that was when Amy came to the scene. Amy: "Yeah, will there be cartoons in it too?" Dr Kintobor: "Well... wasn't planning on it, but I have to remember you're kids in a way, so sure." Tails: "What are cartoons?" Dr Kintobor: "Um... they're like shows that make people laugh or cry, like the Looney Tunes for example." Tails: "Looney Tunes?" Dr Kintobor: "Yeah, but never mind that for now... let me test this out..." said the good doctor, before he finally got the TV on, and it was showing what looked like a detective show. Amy: "Oh a detective show... nice." Tails: "Detective?" Dr Kintobor: "Yes, they're people who solve mysteries that involve crime or someone missing something and needs to be found or something." Tails: "Are they smart?" Dr Kintobor: "Of course, they need to be as the detective's greatest skill is a sharp mind." little did the group know was that not too far away, a trio of animals, a crocodile, a chameleon and a bumble bee, who were in the lab for recovery, were enjoying the detective show too. Once the show was over, Dr Kintobor turned off the TV, and went to the kitchen to get a snack. Tails: "Hey doc, have you seen Sonic anywhere?, I haven't seen him since this morning." Dr Kintobor: "No idea, honestly I thought he was with you." Amy: "Oh dear... I hope he's okay..." Dr Kintobor: "Don't worry Amy, I mean it's not like he's in trouble now." meanwhile, on the other side of the island, a dummy that looks like Sonic was in a cage, surrounded by robots, and the evil Dr Robotnik was laughing. Dr Robotnik: "Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho!, at last, I finally caught Sonic!, how does it feel to be captured by my superior mind?" asked the mad doctor, while the dummy said nothing. Little did Robotnik knew at the time was that the real Sonic and Knuckles were watching from the trees. Sonic: "Wow... he's really obsessed with me." Knuckles: "No kidding... he needs a hobby, one that doesn't involve world domination..." Sonic: "Yeah, though I doubt he'll get a real job due to his lack on people skills." suddenly, the tree branch the two Mobians were began to break, causing the pair to fall down and crashed into the ground, alerting the mad doctor that intruders were in his space. Dr Robotnik: "Ah... Sonic and Knuckles... how nice of you to drop in... robots attack!" ordered the mad doctor, before both Sonic and Knuckles went to battle the robots, which were no match for the Mobians. However, Metal Sonic was a whole different story, as the robot was able to take down both Sonic and Knuckles, much the mad doctor's delight. Meanwhile, back in the lab, Dr Kintobor was giving the crocodile, chameleon and bumblebee a checkup. Dr Kintobor: "Alright... you three seemed to be in good health..." Tails: "Be careful doctor, I heard that a crocodile's jaws can snap an arm in two, and a bumblebee can sting." Dr Kintobor: "I'm fully aware of that, that's why I'm doing my best to be very careful around them, and Vector, Espio and Charmy are being good patients." Tails: "You named them?" Dr Kintobor: "Of course, I have to call them something." said the good doctor, while Amy was using a towel to clean up the equipment. Suddenly, Amy accidentally pulled down the switch of the machine that creates Mobians, and the laser was powering up. Amy tried to pressed some buttons to turn it off, but instead she made the laser point at the good doctor and the three animals. Amy: "Doc!, look out!" shouted Amy, before she pushes Kintobor out of the way, while the laser fires the beam at the three animals, and the chaos energy was being absorbed into their bodies. Slowly but surely, the three animals started to grow and become more anthropomorphic. That was when the laser's beam hit a mirror and two shots went outside. Dr Kintobor managed to turn off the machine, just int time, and Amy was looking down in shame. Dr Kintobor: "Amy, are you alright?, what happened?" Amy: "I'm so sorry Doctor... I was cleaning like you asked me... then I accidentally pulled the switch of the machine... I didn't mean for that to happen..." Dr Kintobor: "It's okay Amy, I'm sure it was just an accident, I just hope no one got hurt." Tails: "Doesn't look like it... but look over there..." said Tails, before he points his finger at the crocodile, chameleon and bumblebee, which were now Mobians like him and Amy were. It wasn't long before Vector (voiced by James Carter Cathcart) the crocodile, Espio (voiced by David Wills) the chameleon, and Charmy (voiced by Amy Birnbaum) the bumblebee, spoke. Vector: "Whoa... what just happened..." Espio: "Wait... you just talked!... hey... I'm talking too!" Charmy: "Not only that, we're much bigger now!, but how?" Vector: "It must have been that machine that Dr Kintobor used to create Sonic and the other Mobians... meaning that we're Mobians ourselves." Dr Kintobor: "Boys... are you feeling okay?" Vector: "I think so... but for some reason... my body feels a little warm... but I'm not under something warm..." Dr Kintobor: "Interesting... the change must have made you warm blooded." Espio: "You mean we can make our own heat?" Charmy: "Cool!, I mean hot!" Amy: "So you don't mind being Mobians?" Vector: "Not at all, in truth, we wanted to be Mobians ourselves for a while, but we didn't had any way of telling the doc." Dr Kintobor: "Understandable..." Vector: "Now I don't have to worry about dying as me and my friends here are immortal." Amy: "What are you talking about?" Tails: "You mean... the doc didn't tell you?" Amy: "Tell me what?" Dr Kintobor: "Well... Mobians can live forever... but that doesn't mean they're impossible to kill... like the echidna tribe for example." Amy: "You mean... Sonic will live forever... while I..." Dr Kintobor: "You're a Mobian too, so there's a good chance you'll live forever with him too." Amy: "But what about you?" Dr Kintobor: "Well... I wasn't planning on living forever... but unless I can find someone to take my place as guardian of the Mobians here... I might have to make myself immortal..." Tails: "Hey Doc... what time is it?" Dr Kintobor: "It's after lunch time, so?" Tails: "Well... Sonic and Knuckles should have been back by now... and yet they're not... and Sonic never misses a chance to eat your yummy chilli dogs." Dr Kintobor: "My goodness... you're right... something must be indeed wrong..." Vector: "You want us to go look for them?" Dr Kintobor: "Oh course... but first we need to get you dressed." said the good doctor, before he makes and gives the three new Mobians some gloves and shoes to wear. Vector: "Wow... so these are gloves... they feel nice." Espio: "Hey... I wonder if we have special powers like Sonic and the others..." Charmy: "Let's find out while we go search for Sonic and Knuckles." Vector: "Good idea." said the Mobian crocodile, before he and the other Mobians split up and began searching for Sonic and Knuckles. So far in the passed hour, nobody had any luck, that is until Vector, Espio and Charmy found some tracks that looked odd. Vector: "Hey... are these Sonic's footprints?" Espio: "I don't think so... they look a little too big to be the hedgehog's... or the echidna's for that matter..." Charmy: "They look big enough to be a human's, like Dr Kintobor." Vector: "But it can't be, Kintobor's the only human here, and the only other human who knows about the island is... uh oh..." Espio: "You're not thinking who I think you're thinking... right...?" Charmy: "Huh?, who?" Vector: "Tell me Charmy... do you remember the doc's evil twin brother?" Charmy: "Hmm... uh... ah!, Dr Eggman is here?!" Vector: "I think so, and by the looks of these tracks, they're fresh... meaning Eggman is not far away." Dr Robotnik: "My name is not Eggman!, it's Robotnik!" shouted the mad doctor, who was behind the jungle bushes, covering his mouth as he just realized that he gave himself away. Charmy: "Yup... it's Dr Eggman alright." Dr Robotnik: "Don't call me that!, you know my name is Dr Robotnik!, you're doing that on purpose!" shouted Robotnik, while Vector noticed the cage with Sonic and Knuckles inside. Sonic: "Who are they?" Knuckles: "I don't know... never seen them before..." Vector: "There's Sonic and Knuckles!" Espio: "And Eggman's got them!" Dr Robotnik: "Stop calling me Eggman!, the name's Robotnik!, Robotnik!, Robotnik!, Robotnik!" Charmy: "Wow... I think he has name issues." Espio: "You think?" Dr Robotnik: "I don't know who you are... but you're most likely some new Mobians that my brother created... robots, attack!" ordered Robotnik, before the robots went to attack the Mobian trio. During the battle, Vector learned that he not only has super strength like Knuckles, but but breath fire as well, while Espio can turn invisible and Charmy can sting robots without losing the stinger, which allows him to attack without harming himself. It wasn't long before the battle ended, with the Mobian trio being the winners, much to the mad doctor's dismay. Dr Robotnik: "Unbelievable!, how could I lose again?!, and to some Mobian nobodies for that matter!" Vector: "We're not nobodies, we are... um... Team Chaotix!" Dr Robotnik: "Did you just made that up?" Vector: "No." Espio: "Don't lie, we all know you just made it up." Charmy: "Yeah, why Chaotix?" Vector: "What?, like you could come up with a better name?" Dr Robotnik: "No matter, I still have Metal Sonic to deal with you." Amy: "I don't think so." said Amy, who not only came to the scene, but was standing on top of a damaged Metal Sonic. Dr Robotnik: "Oh come on!" Sonic: "Wow, great timing Amy." Knuckles: "Now can one of you get us out of this cage?" Amy: "Sure thing." said Amy, before she swings her hammer and smashes the cages into pieces. Sonic: "He meant doing it without risk flatting us..." Amy: "Oops... sorry, I hope you're not mad." Sonic: "Nah, just try a gentler approach." Dr Robotnik: "You got lucky today Sonic, but mark my words!, I'll be the victor the next time!" shouted Dr Robotnik, as he takes the damaged Metal Sonic and ran away from the scene. Later, the Mobians went back to Kintobor's lab, where the tell the good doc about what happened. Dr Kintobor: "I see... seems that Metal Sonic is quite the challenge..." Sonic: "Yeah, but it's no match for Amy, that's for sure." Amy: "Oh come on, I'm not that tough... I was just trying to keep that horrible robot from harming you, that's all." Vector: "Is that your way of flirting with him?" Amy: "No, it's not, I'm just being modest." Sonic: "Say doc, who are these guys?" asked Sonic, looking at the Chaotix. Dr Kintobor: "This is Vector, Espio and Charmy, you know the animals that were here to recover earlier." Sonic: "Oh I see, were they in a bad enough shape to be needed to become Mobians?" Amy: "Actually... that was an accident when I pulled the switch by mistake." Tails: "Not to mention that the laser fired two extra beams that went outside... I wonder if they hit anything..." Dr Kintobor: "Let's not worry about that, I'm sure the beams didn't much as the beam only effects living things, so if hits the ground or some rocks or water, it doesn't do much." Knuckles: "You're sure about that?" Dr Kintobor: "Well... not 100%, I mean it never hit anything other than animals before... but I'm sure it's nothing for us to worry about, and as for the Chaotix, we thank you for saving Sonic and Knuckles earlier." Sonic: "Yeah, thanks for the save." Vector: "It's nothing really, we Mobians have to stick together after all." Espio: "Plus you were the one who helped us when we were still normal animals by bringing us to the doctor." Charmy: "Yeah, you saved us first, so it's only fair we return the favor." Tails: "Um... why did you decided to call yourselves Team Chaotix?" Vector: "Well I needed a name for my team, so I thought up of a name that's catchy, and Chaotix was the first thing that came to my mind, due to a Chao that used to play with me when I was little." Dr Kintobor: "Oh yeah... I thought it sounded familiar, that's the name of one of the Chao here." Amy: "Aww, that's really sweet of you." Vector: "Well don't tell anyone about it, I want people to think I'm a tough detective." Tails: "You as a detective?" Vector: "Yeah, just like the one on the TV... speaking of which, is the show on?" Charmy: "Yup." said Charmy, as he turned on the TV, showing the detective show. Vector: "Alright!, time to see another case!" said Vector, before he and the other Mobians rushed to take a seat and watch the show, while Dr Kintobor couldn't help but smile. Dr Kintobor: "Mind if I join?" Vector: "Not at all, it'll be fun if the whole family is here." Dr Kintobor: "You got that right." said the good doctor, before he joins the Mobians on the Detective TV show.
