Saving A Pickle Of A Professor

As soon as the sun finally came up, Sonic, Tails, Chip, Chris and Helen, who were sleeping under a tree, woke up and Sonic was back to his normal Mobian form. Helen: "Wow... what a beautiful sunrise..." Chris: "Yeah... it sure is..." Tails: "Come on guys, we have a professor to meet." Chip: "Sure, but I'm feeling a little hungry... can we get some breakfast?" Sonic: "Sure, Dr Kintobor said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day that helps ya get the day started." Tails: "Good idea, I'm pretty hungry myself." a few moments later, the group went to a McDonald's place got some food like cinnamon rolls or hash browns. Chip: "Wow, these Cinnamon rolls are amazing, and the hash browns taste good with ketchup." Helen: "Yeah, they sure do." Chris: "That's for sure." Tails: "You know, the doc talked about McDonald's a few times, being a popular fast food place that's nearly all over the world." Chris: "This Dr Kintobor guy... was he a student of Professor Pickle when he was a boy?" Tails: "That's what the doc told me, to be honest, I only found out about him yesterday." Sonic: "Yeah, me too." Chris: "Well from what I know about him, he loves cucumber sandwiches." Sonic: "Really?, I figured he had a thing for pickle sandwiches as he's called Professor Pickle." Helen: "Very funny Sonic, but please try to be nice to him once we see him, he is after all a well respected professor after all." Sonic: "Sure thing." after having their breakfast, the group went to the Station Square University, in hopes to meet Professor Pickle. But when they got there, they see Cubot carrying a food bag. Tails: "Hey... it's Cubot!, one of Eggman's robots!" Cubot: "Huh?, oh hi Tails, what brings you and your friends here?" Helen: "We came to see Professor Pickle." Cubot: "Well he's not here, Dr Robotnik kidnapped him a few days ago." said Cubot to the group, much to their shock. Tails: "Oh no... the professor's been kidnapped..." Helen: "They said it happened a few days before the planet broke apart... saying he was taken by a group of robots... I wonder who those robots belonged to..." Sonic: "I think I know who owns those robots... Eggman himself." Chris: "You mean the man who drained the Chaos emeralds to break the planet?" Sonic: "It would make sense if it was." Chip: "Poor guy... what a terrible thing to happen... he must be really hungry right now... and if I was that hungry, I... I would be dead!" Tails: "I'm sure Eggman's feeding him, even he's not that cruel." Cubot: "That's right, I came to pick up some cucumber sandwiches for the professor to the secret hideout." Chip: "Can you take us to him?" Cubot: "Do you have an appointment?" Chris: "Uh yeah, you could say that." Cubot: "Then follow me." said Cubot, who begins leading the group to the secret hideout. Chip: "Well that was easy." Sonic: "Well Cubot was the dumbest robot Eggman ever built." Tails: "Yeah... we won't need a spy with Cubot around." said Tails, before the group went to follow Cubot to the secret hideout, where they find Professor Pickle (voiced by Dan Green) himself. Tails: "Excuse me sir..." Professor Pickle: "Unbelivable, they call this a sandwich?, it's poorly designed." Tails: "Excuse me, are you Professor Pickle by any chance?" Professor Pickle: "Why yes I am... but what are you?, some type of talking fox?" Tails: "It's a long story... but never mind that, my friends and I came to rescue you." Professor Pickle: "Really?, well that's very kind of you." said the professor, before Tails unlocks the cage the professor was in and got him out. Sonic: "Nice to meet ya professor, I'm Sonic, and these are my friends, Chip, Helen and Chris." Professor Pickle: "Pleasure to meet you children, do you by any chance have something to eat?, I had nothing but those terrible sandwiches in the last few days." Chip: "Well I have some chocolate, want some?" Professor Pickle: "Don't mind if I do, but before we go, we must get the Gaia Manuscripts, we need them to fix the planet." Chris: "So you have an idea what's going on?" Professor Pickle: "I believe so, but first we must get them out of the vault over there." Sonic: "Leave that to me." said Sonic, before he does a Spin Dash that breaks the vault door, while Tails collects the Gaia manuscripts. Tails: "Got them." Professor Pickle: "Good work, now let's get out of here." Tails: "Great, this is the perfect time to test out the Warp rings." Sonic: "The what rings?" Tails: "A little something I invented with the power of the Master emerald." said Tails, before he throws a little ring that grew bigger and became a portal that goes to the lab of Angel island, and the group went through it before it shrank and closed. It wasn't long before Robotnik came and was shocked to see that not only Professor Pickle was gone, but also the Gaia manuscripts as well. Dr Robotnik: "Where is the professor?!" Cubot: "Beats me, last time I saw him was here with Sonic, Tails and some new friends of theirs." Dr Robotnik: "They were here and you didn't tell me?!" Cubot: "Was I supposed to?" Dr Robotnik: "Ah!, why did I made you so stupid?!" Orbot: "Because you didn't want him to think about rebelling?" Dr Robotnik: "Oh yeah... too bad his stupidity gives me more trouble..." Cubot: "Hooray!" Orbot: "That's not a good thing." Cubot: "Well to be honest, I have no idea what you're talking about." said Cubot, while the mad doctor just face palmed himself. Back on Angel island, Sonic was introducing his team to his new friends. Sonic: "Everyone, these are my new friends, Chris, Helen and Chip." Helen: "Hello everyone." Cream: "Hi there Miss Helen, why are you on a chair with wheels, did something happened to your legs?" Helen: "You could say that, I was born with a disorder that makes my legs unable to let me walk, so I have to use a wheelchair to move about." Cream: "Oh dear..." Helen: "It's okay, I got used to it." said Helen while Professor Pickle went to the good doctor. Professor Pickle: "Julian... is it really you?" Dr Kintobor: "Yeah, it's me, it's good to see you again after all these years." Professor Pickle: "Same here... when I heard about what happened in the Space Colony Ark... I feared the worst... I never imagined that you were living on an island that floats in the sky all this time... it's amazing." Dr Kintobor: "Yeah, I suppose it is." Chris: "Say Professor, can you tell us what you know about the Planet's current state?" Professor Pickle: "Of course, it's written in the Gaia Manuscripts, they say that long ago, this is not the first time the planet has broken apart." Amy: "Really?" Professor Pickle: "Yes... the cause was to seal away a dark monster that nearly plunged the world into darkness... a being known as Dark Gaia, the being of Darkness and Destruction... it was said that it was created through the negative energy of the Chaos emeralds, and it was only defeated by another powerful being known as Light Gaia, the being of Light and Rebirth." Chip: "Wow... that's amazing... and so familiar somehow..." Chris: "So this Dark Gaia was sealed away in the planet's core this whole time until now?" Professor Pickle: "Yes, you can thank Robotnik for that." Knuckles: "Well he wouldn't have done it if Sonic here didn't brought them to him." Sonic: "Hey!, how was I supposed to know he had something to can drain Chaos energy from me and the Chaos emeralds?" Dr Kintobor: "Now boys, please don't start blame one another, noun of us saw this coming... anyway professor, you were saying?" Professor Pickle: "Yes... there is a way to restore the planet, by restoring the power of the Chaos emeralds, Sonic, you must go to the temples of Gaia, which are mentioned in the Gaia manuscripts, which are located in each of the 7 broken continents, and place each one of the Chaos emeralds there, the temples will restore the emeralds of their power, and in return the emeralds will put the planet back together." Sonic: "A planet sized jigsaw puzzle huh?, sounds like a good excuse to see the world." Dr Kintobor: "I suppose you could say that." Tails: "Hey Sonic, mind if I tag along?" Sonic: "Not at all, it would be more fun to have ya along." Chip: "And me?" Sonic: "Well I promised to be on your side till we get your memory back, so you can come too." Chris: "And me and Helen?" Dr Kintobor: "I think it would be wise if you two and Professor Pickle stay here for now, can't risk letting Ivo capturing the professor again, and you kids need someone to watch over you." Helen: "Thank you sir." Dr Kintobor: "Oh please, just call me Dr Kintobor or doc for short." Helen: "Okay doc." said Helen with a giggle, before Sonic and Tails barrow the Gaia Manuscripts. Tails: "It says the first temple is located somewhere in Africa." Sonic: "Cool, always wanted to go there, as a lot of the animals there are a sight to see." Chip: "Alright, let's go." soon, Tails uses a Warp ring and the trio went through to Africa as the portal closes.
