The Seedrian & The Phoenix Guardian

When the sun came out, Sonic was back to his normal form, ready for the next temple to find, located somewhere in China. Dr Kintobor: "Alright Sonic, did you and everyone else had breakfast?" Sonic: "Sure did." Dr Kintobor: "Good, off you go then, and good luck finding the temple." Sonic: "Thanks." Charmy: "Hey Sonic... would it be okay if I tag along this time?" Sonic: "Sure, but why?" Charmy: "Well I want to see what the world below this island is like, even just once." Chip: "Sure, we don't mind." Vector: "If that's the case, let me and Espio come too, for someone needs to keep Charmy in line." Charmy: "What's that supposed to mean?" Espio: "Well you're still just a kid in a way, and you tend to goof off." Charmy: "I do not!... at least not often..." Espio: "Well either way, we feel more comfortable if we keep an eye on ya." Sonic: "Sure thing, we could use your detective skills to find the temple." Tails: "Alright then, time for a warp ring." Charmy: "Can I try it this time?, Please~." Tails: "Well... sure, just make sure you think of the right place." said Tails, before he gives Charmy a warp ring, and the Mobian throws it to open a portal and the group went in. once the team got to the other side, they noticed something was wrong. Chip: "So this is China?" Vector: "Wait a minute... that's the Eiffel tower!" said Vector, as he noticed the Eiffel tower close by. Espio: "Charmy!, you warped us to Paris!" Charmy: "Really?, oh... I guess I got Paris and China a little mixed up... but hey, I don't know much about the planet below as you guys do." Chip: "Wow... there seems to be some romantic moments here." said Chip, as he noticed some couples kissing. Sonic: "Yeah, the doc said that Paris is a city of romance, in fact Amy once told me that she wants to come here to have a date with me." Tails: "Yeah, but we better not tell her about us being here or she'll get mad." Sonic: "Yeah, anyway, we better wrap to China." Espio: "Leave it to me, I've been there before to learn Ninjitzu whenever the island is above it." Vector: "Uh... and you never told us this before why?" Espio: "I didn't wanted to worry you." said Espio, before he barrows a warp ring from Tails and opens up a portal and ended up in a different location, but it wasn't China. Tails: "Wait a minute... this is Japan!" Espio: "Huh?, so what?, Japan and China are the same thing, right?" Sonic: "No, they're not." Espio: "Really?... oops..." Charmy: "And you complained I messed up the trip." Espio: "Stop talking..." said Espio, before Chip hears some people talking about plants that are growing wild in the sewers, which made him puzzled. Chip: "Did you hear that you guys?, plants growing crazy in the sewers... do you think it could be the work of Dark Gaia's minions?" Vector: "That's a possibility... they have an effect of both people and animals... including us." Charmy: "But it's the day time, don't they come out at night." Tails: "Charmy does have a point... but maybe they growing at night..." Chip: "Well from what I heard, some people are gonna go down there to cut them down... which is sad really, plants are living things too." Sonic: "Yeah, they sure are." that was when Vector noticed some plant roots that were growing out of a hole that leads to the sewers, making him decide to investigate. It wasn't long before some vines came to life and grabbed Vector, and then the others, and pulls them down into the sewers. Once the plants took them in, the group see what looks like a jungle within the sewers, and Charmy sees something that made him blush. It was some sort of creature that was like an anthropomorphic plant girl, named Cosmo (voiced by Amy Birnbaum), and she walks up to the group to take a better look at them. Cosmo: "Who are you?, animals?, not like any I've ever seen..." Sonic: "Uh... we're Mobians, I'm Sonic, this is Tails, Chip, Vector, Espio and Charmy, and you?" Cosmo: "Me?, I'm Cosmo the Seedrian." Charmy: "Cosmo... what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl..." said Charmy while blushing, which made Cosmo blush a little too. Vector: "Oh my... don't look now... but I think Charmy just got bitten by the love bug..." Espio: "Yeah... didn't see that coming..." Sonic: "Hey uh... I hope you don't mind me asking... but what are you doing down here?, and why did you capture us?" Cosmo: "Well... I was once a normal rose... until some strange beam, which was bouncing off the mirrors in the area, hit me and transformed me into this... when I tried to look for answers... people freaked out and tried to capture me... so I went down here to hide... my only friends were the plants, which I have the to power to control, like making them grow or move in my own will... my friends must have thought you were here to harm me so they captured you and brought them to me." Tails: "We mean no harm, in fact we didn't mean to come here, we were supposed to go to China to find one of the temples of Gaia, but we got here in Japan by mistake." Cosmo: "I see... so you're not an enemy?" Tails: "Of course not, we're the good guys, and I think I have an idea about some answers of your origin." Cosmo: "You do?" Tails: "Yeah... it got started on a place called Angel island..." said Tails, as he tells Cosmo the story about the origins of the Mobians that Dr Kintobor made and about the state of the planet. Cosmo: "Oh my... so you were created by the same beam... and the planet's broken?, oh dear... how terrible..." Chip: "Don't worry though, for we're on a mission to put it back together, and maybe you can help us." Cosmo: "Me?, but what can I do?" Charmy: "You can talk to plants right?, maybe you can talk to them to help us find the temple." Cosmo: "Huh... I never thought of that before..." Sonic: "And not only that, you can live with us on Angel island, there are lots of plants and animals to be friends with." Cosmo: "Gosh... that's really kind of you... but why?" Sonic: "Why would we not?, cause it's obvious you need friends, and we can tell that you're a good person... or plant in your case..." Tails: "And you've been alone long enough." Cosmo: "Well I wouldn't say I was all alone, I had the plants to keep me company." Charmy: "Maybe... but have you tried making friends that are not plants?" Cosmo: "I did once... but it didn't end well..." Charmy: "Well we can be your friends." Cosmo: "Gosh... thank you." Vector: "Okay, enough talking, we need to get to China fast." Tails: "Leave that to me, for I know what China is." Cosmo: "Really, but then why did you end up here?" Tails: "Cause one of us mistook Japan here for China." Espio: "Well... it's an error I won't repeat..." Charmy: "But look on the bright side, we managed to get a new friend." this made Cosmo to smile, before the sound of people coming were heard, which were people who came to take down the plants that were blocking the sewers. The Mobians knew that they had to get out of the sewers quick, so they opened up a portal through a Warp ring and went through, and took Cosmo with them. Once they got to the other side of the portal, they were finally at China. Before they could continue however, they had to give Cosmo some comfort, who was crying for what happened to the plants in the sewers. Sonic: "Oh Cosmo... I'm so sorry... I know what it feels like to lose someone you love... really... like my mom for example..." Cosmo: "My friends... my plants..." that was when Charmy went to give her a hug, much to her surprise. Charmy: "Don't cry Charmy... you're not alone... you got me and my friends now... we'll keep you safe..." Cosmo: "... Thank you..." Chip: "Here, want some chocolate?" asked Chip, offering the little plant girl some chocolate. Cosmo: "Oh... thank you... but what is chocolate?" Chip: "It's yummy candy." Tails: "I heard that chocolate comes from coco beans, which were grown from plants." Cosmo: "Really... [taking a bite of the chocolate] wow... this is really good!" Chip: "Told ya it was yummy." Vector: "Hey... the sun is going down." said Vector, pointing at the sun setting. Charmy: "Huh?, but wasn't it morning not too long ago?" Tails: "At Angel island yes, but we're in a position of the planet where the day is ending." Charmy: "Huh... I didn't know that could happen..." that was when night came, and Sonic transformed into his Were-hog form, which surprised Cosmo as lot. Cosmo: "Oh my gosh... Sonic... is that you?" Sonic: "Yeah... this sort of thing happens when night comes... but don't worry, I'm still me." Charmy: "Hey Cosmo, do you think you could ask the plants here where the temple is?" Cosmo: "Well... I'll give it a try..." said Cosmo, before she went to a tree and talked to it, before coming back to the group and told them that the temple is not far from where they were. It wasn't long before they finally got to where the entrance to the temple was, but before they could enter, a large dark bird that was covered in flames appeared, and the sight of it scared Cosmo as she fears the flames for obvious reasons. Sonic went to battle it and soon the others joined in, and a few moments later, the bird was defeated. Charmy: "What is it?" Espio: "I'm not sure..." Vector: "Well it's a bird obviously." Tails: "I think it's some kind of Phoenix... a bird of flames... but I herd they only exist in legends... and yet here's one in front of us..." said Tails, before Chip went to the temple's entrance, which opens up and soon the group went inside. Once they got to the heart of the temple they find a plinth with a base that had a hole on top. Sonic placed one of the Chaos emeralds into the hole, and once that happened, some red energy surrounded the gem, restoring it's power as the red color of the emerald came back. Suddenly, the continent lowered itself down, back to where it belongs like the first continent. Sonic: "Two emeralds down... five more to go..." said Sonic, before he and the others moved out of the temple, and see the Phoenix again, only it was more brighter colored this time, and looking a lot more friendly. That was when Sticks and Amy came to the scene, much to the group's surprise. Tails: "Amy?, Sticks?, what are you two doing here?" Amy: "Sticks here was playing with one of the Warp rings and got herself and I lost here... which was when we found this bird here." Sticks: "Yeah, turns out he's the guardian of this temple, kinda like how I was for the temple of Gaia, but went crazy when the Dark Gaia creatures took over his body." Sonic: "I see... he was possessed by those creatures like how they did with the Chaotix... but then got freed when we defeated him." said Sonic, before Chip came over to the Phoenix. Chip: "Well I'm glad you're back to normal, want some chocolate?" asked Chip, before the phoenix took a piece of chocolate and flew off. Sticks: "Did you get the second emerald restored?" Sonic: "Yup, now we just need to find the remaining 5 temples." Amy: "That's great news, let's get back to Angel island and give the good doctor the report." Sticks: "Hey?, who's the plant?" Cosmo: "Me?, I'm Cosmo the Seedrian." Sticks: "Why are you called that?" Cosmo: "Cause I like the word Cosmo, which I heard from some people on the surface... as for Seedrian, I wanted to call myself something... and Seedrian was the best I could think of." Amy: "I think it's a wonderful name, I'm Amy Rose, and this is Sticks the Badger." Cosmo: "Pleased to meet you." Tails: "Alright, time to see the doc and tell him the good news." said Tails, before he takes out a warp ring, which opens up a portal to Angel island, and the Mobians and Cosmo went through before it closed.
