Meanwhile on Angel island, Dr Kintobor and the other Mobians were worried about Sonic, as they have not heard a word of him since yesterday. Amy: "Oh dear... what's taking Sonic so long?" Dr Kintobor: "I don't know... I just hope he's okay..." Tails: "Me too..." Cream: "At least Mr Eggman's ships are not here..." Knuckles: "Yeah, I don't see his spaceship armada... so I'm guessing Sonic took care of them." Vector: "And yet... he has not come back... what do you think could have happened to him?" Charmy: "You think Eggman has captured him?" Espio: "If Eggman did caught him, that rotten egg would have gave us a message to brag about it." Dr Kintobor: "Yes... that's something Ivo would do... but that's not the only issue... according to the computer, the planet has been broken into 7 pieces, and some dark being let out some kind of dark purple fog that vanished on the bright side of the planet while it remains on the dark half... I wonder if there's a connection..." Knuckles: "Of what?, that Eggman broke the planet?, why would he do that?" Dr Kintobor: "I don't know... but somehow this event on the planet reminds me of something I learned back when I was a boy... hmm... of course!, Professor Pickle!" Tails: "Who?" Dr Kintobor: "He was a teacher of mine, famous for being an expert of the history of the Gaia Manuscripts, which might have the information we need to figure out what's going on... Tails, I want you to go find Professor Pickle and bring him here right away, and while you're at it, go try looking for Sonic." Tails: "You got it Doc, I won't let you down." Cream: "Good luck Mr Tails." said Cream, before she gives Tails a hug, which made him blush a little before he hugs her back. Tails: "Thanks Cream, and don't worry, I'll be okay." said Tails, before he heads off outside and takes the Tornado, flying off to the planet and begins his search for Sonic and Professor Pickle. Meanwhile, back at Station Square, close to nightfall, Sonic, Chip and the human kids were walking down the streets. Chip: "We searched all over this city and we haven't found anyone who knows me..." Sonic: "Any luck on getting your memory back?" Chip: "Hmm... nope... sorry." Chris: "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get them back soon enough." Helen: "Yeah, hey how about some chocolate?, I got some earlier and thought you might like some." Chip: "Sure, I love chocolate." Helen: "Happy to hear it." that was when the sun came down and once night fell came, Sonic began to feel like something was clawing out of him. Chip: "Sonic, what's wrong?" Chris: "Are you alright?" Helen: "Sonic?" that was when a dark aura surrounded Sonic as he began to change back into the monstrous form he had before, much to everyone's surprise. Chip: "Whoa... Mr Monster guy is back!" Sonic: "Ugh... what happened?" Chris: "I don't know... but I think changed the moment when night came." Sonic: "You mean... whenever the sun goes down... I turned into this?" Helen: "Are you okay Sonic?" Chip: "Yeah, feeling alright?" Sonic: "I'm fine, I just gotta be careful on people seeing me like this." said Sonic, before Chip noticed that the ice cream man from earlier was in despair, like he was under a spell that makes him feel negative. When Chips tried to cheer up the ice cream man with an ice cream sundae, he dropped it and Sonic managed to catch it, but his arm stretched out from a distance, much to the group's surprise. Chip: "Whoa... Sonic, your arm stretched!" Sonic: "Weird... but it could be useful." Chris: "Huh... I guess you never done that before?" Sonic: "No... I'm guessing this new form has some new tricks with it." Helen: "Uh guys... we got a problem..." said Helen, as she noticed a group of large creatures that were dark and glowing in an eerie way, and the dark aura around made the group feel very scared. Chris: "What are those?" Sonic: "Not sure... but I doubt they're friendly..." said Sonic, before the creatures went to attack the group. Sonic's new form seemed to make the hedgehog more like a fighter like Knuckles, and managed to take down most of the monsters, but one of them was getting ready to attack the others. But then the green orb on the ring around Chip's neck started to glow white, and the light seemed to have made the creature to vanish without a trace, much to the group's surprise. Chris: "Whoa... how did you do that?" Chip: "I don't know... I didn't even knew I could do that either..." Sonic: "Guess you got some abilities of your own." Helen: "Yeah... the ability to make some light... I guess those creatures were weak to light..." Chris: "Yeah... but what were they?" Sonic: "Not sure... never seen them before... then again there's a lot of stuff I don't know about this planet as I grew up on Angel island in the sky." Helen: "There's an island in the sky?, like that Castle in the sky movie?" Sonic: "Uh... I don't think I've seen that movie before so I'm not sure what you mean." Helen: "Uh... never mind, let's just get out of here, I have a feeling there might be more of those creatures in the area." Tails: "Help!" Chris: "Did you hear that?" Sonic: "Wait... that sounded like... no it can't be..." said Sonic, before he ran off to find the source of the cry for help. Soon enough Sonic discovered that it was Tails, being surrounded by a group creatures that were the same kind as the hedgehog faced not too long ago. Without second thoughts, Sonic went to battle the creatures and took them down, just when Chris, Helen and Chip came to the scene. Sonic: "Tails, are you okay?" Tails: "Huh?... Sonic?, is that you?, what happened to you?" Sonic: "Well you know me, never a dull moment." Chip: "Hi there, want some chocolate?" asked Chip as he offers some chocolate to the Mobian fox. Tails: "Uh, thanks, my name is Tails, and you?" Chip: "Well I don't remember my real name at the moment, but Sonic calls me Chip, are you a friend of Sonic's?" Tails: "Sure am." Helen: "A pleasure to meet you Tails, I'm Helen." Chris: "And I'm Chris." Tails: "Nice to meet ya." Sonic: "So tell me Tails, what are you doing out here?" Tails: "Well I came down to find you Sonic, you've been gone a lot longer than you should, what happened?" Sonic: "Well... it happened when I went into a space station of Eggman's..." said Sonic as he begins his story about what happened in space and everything after. Tails: "I see... I'll bet the planet breaking apart and your transformation are somehow connected..." Sonic: "I need to find Eggman and have him fix this and fast." Tails: "Well there might be someone who could help us, you see Dr Kintobor sent me to find you and a man named Professor Pickle who might have the info we need to figure out what's going on." Chris: "Professor Pickle?, we know where he is." Sonic: "You do?" Helen: "Yeah, he's at the Station Square university, we can take you there." Chip: "That's great, let's go!" Helen: "Yeah... but can we do it tomorrow... I'm really tired..." Tails: "Yeah... I guess we could do some rest." Sonic: "Yeah... but we got to this university place first thing in the morning." Chris: "Sure thing." said Chris, before he and the other looked for a place to sleep for the night.
