After returning to Angel island, Chip tells the others about the return of his memories and his origins. Cream: "Really Mr Chip?, you're the papa of all the Chao here?, even Cheese?" Chip: "I know it sounds odd... but it's true." said Chip, before Cheese went to give him a hug, happy to be with his father again. Sticks: "You know... the Chao have been calling him daddy for a while... but I never understood why though until now..." Cream: "And the Dark Gaia monster... is a she and Cheese's mother?" Chip: "Yeah... it wasn't her fault though... it was the negative effects of the Chaos emeralds..." Amy: "Oh my... I guess that shows that misusing them could lead to terrible things..." Chip: "Yes... and I have to stop her soon... for it's only a matter of time before she's fully recovered from her thousands of years of slumber..." Cream: "How will you do that?" Chip: "Well... the same way I defeated her... sealing her away in the planet's core..." Sonic: "That's not gonna work." Chip: "Huh?" Sonic: "I mean even if you do seal her away again, it would only be a matter of time before some bad guy would try to release her again like how Eggman did." Tails: "He's right, there's got to be another way." Chris: "But what?" Helen: "Yeah, I mean this Dark Gaia must be really powerful compared to her minions." Dr Kintobor: "Indeed... from what the Manuscripts say about her, Dark Gaia is supposed to be the most powerful monster the world has ever seen." Chip: "Hey watch it!, she's still my mate!" Dr Kintobor: "Oh sorry, didn't mean any offense." Chip: "I know... it's not your fault... nor is it Dark Gaia's... if only there were a way to free her from the darkness in her heart..." that was when Cosmo came to the scene. Cosmo: "Excuse me, but it's time to feed the animals here." Cream: "Oh you're right, we better feed them and the Chao, they must be really hungry." Amy: "I'll bet, come on girls." said Amy, before she and the girls went off to a large building, where the animals that were injured or sick were taken care of until they make a full recovery, and the girls begin feeding them with the food they need. That was when Tails came over to the scene, along with the others. Tails: "Hey Cream, mind if we help ya feed the animals?" Cream: "Not at all Mr Tails, but don't you have other things to do?" Tails: "Not at the moment, we need a break after our trip in Australia, and there's not much to do at the moment." Amy: "Are you sure it's not also cause you want Cream to like ya more?" said Amy with a smirk, making the Mobian fox to blush a little. Tails: "Uh..." Cream: "It's okay Mr Tails, I love having your company." Tails: "Really?, that's great... I enjoy having your company too." said Cream, before she gives Tails a kiss on the nose, which made him blush even more. Amy: "Wow... I think Tails and Cream make an adorable pair, don't ya think Sonic?" asked Amy, who was looking at the blue hedgehog. Sonic: "Yeah I guess so." Amy: "You know, once the world is back to normal, maybe we could hang out in Paris." Sonic: "Uh... maybe..." Knuckles: "Better accept it Sonic, Amy's been waiting to date ya for a long time." Sonic: "Yeah... you might be right, but what about you and Sticks?" Knuckles: "What about her?" Sonic: "You don't know?, she really..." Sticks: "Say another word and I will end ya!" Sonic: "Okay... I'll let you tell him." Sticks: "I will not tell him I have a crush on him yet!, only when the time is right!, got it?!" Knuckles: "You have a crush on me?" Sticks: "... I just admitted it... didn't I...?" Amy: "Yeah... you kinda did." said Amy, before Sticks looked away while blushing. Charmy: "Huh... never imagined Sticks the type to have a crush on anyone." Cosmo: "Well I can't blame her, Knuckles is really strong and kind..." Charmy: "What about me?" Cosmo: "You're an adorable little bee, and I like that about you." said Cosmo, which made Charmy blush a little. As for the humans, they were busy feeding the animals or giving them the medicine they need to feel better. Helen: "Hey Chris... our lives sure have changed since we both met Sonic, huh?" Chris: "Yeah, they sure have, we managed to make many new unique friends, a place to live that's on an island that floats in the sky... boy... I don't think that's something that would happen to a lot of kids like us everyday..." Dr Kintobor: "You know Chris... I thought the same thing myself when I was your age... before I came to live on this island after all these years... and to be honest... I want to make sure that the Mobians have someone to take care of them... and I know that I won't be around forever like them..." Chris: "What are you trying to say?" Dr Kintobor: "Well the thing is... I..." suddenly, the sound of alarms went off, alerting everyone that the island was under attack. Vector went to the computer to see what was going on outside, and sees something he couldn't believe. Vector: "Uh guys... is Sonic here?" Sonic: "Yeah I'm here, why?" Vector: "Well... then it's safe to say that hedgehog is not Sonic..." said Vector, pointing at the black hedgehog that was being shown on the monitor. Cream: "Who is that?" Amy: "I don't know... but looks like Sonic... only black and looking more edgy..." said Amy, before the good doctor takes a look and gasped. Dr Kintobor: "No... it can't be... could it...?" Professor Pickle: "Julian?, do you know that Mobian?" Dr Kintobor: "I think I do... but how could it be...?, it's been 50 years..." Sonic: "Well whoever he is, he's not gonna get away with attacking our home." said Sonic, before he zooms away from the scene. Dr Kintobor: "Sonic wait!, don't fight him!" shouted the good doctor, but it was too late as Sonic left already. Soon, Sonic got to where Shadow was, and the two Mobian hedgehog finally meet. Shadow: "So... you must be the Sonic I heard about... we do look alike in a way... but not that much." Sonic: "Who are you?" Shadow: "I am Shadow the Hedgehog, the ultimate life form... created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, and I will not rest until I avenge the death of Maria Robotnik." Sonic: "Professor Gerald Robotnik... Maria Robotnik...?, that's Kintobor's grandpa and cousin..." said Sonic, before Shadow punches him in the face, sending him flying into a tree. The others were watching through the monitor, and they were worried. Amy: "Oh no!, my poor Sonic!" Chip: "Oh man... that hedgehog must be tough... probably close to Knuckles... and fast as Sonic too..." said Chip, as he and the others continued to watch. Back with Sonic, he gets back on his feet to do a spin dash on Shadow, who teleports away, before reappearing on top of a rock. Shadow: "Too slow." Sonic: "Me... slow?... bad choice of words." said Sonic, before he does another spin dash, only to miss again as Shadow keeps teleporting away. Shadow: "Face it blue, you can't beat me, now I have some Mobians and humans to collect." said Shadow, before Sonic appears in front of him and threw a punch that hits him on the face. Sonic: "Stay away from my friends and family!" shouted Sonic, before Shadow vanishes again, and Sonic tries to look around but found no sign of him. Suddenly, the sound of Amy's screaming was heard, which made Sonic gasp in shock and zooms off to the building. Once he got there, the Mobians and humans were tied up. Shadow: "Like I said... too slow..." said Shadow, before he and everyone else vanished, much to Sonic's dismay. Suddenly, Tails and Chip came out of some rubble, looking a little bruised but still okay. Sonic: "Tails!, Chip!, are you alright?!" Chip: "We're fine... but that black hedgehog jerk took the doc, the professor and everyone!" Tails: "He even took Cream... if he harms so much as one hair on her..." Sonic: "Don't worry, he won't... I'll make sure of it..." Chip: "Where could they have gone?" asked Chip, before Sonic finds something on the ground and Tails picks it up. Tails: "It's some kind of poster... it says... 'Robotnik land is finally opened, come and enjoy the fun there'... well at least we know who sent that hedgehog..." Sonic: "Yeah... I had a feeling Eggman was behind this..." Chip: "How do we get there?" Tails: "The same way with the temples... a Warp ring." Sonic: "Come on you guys, we have friends and family to rescue." said Sonic, before Tails uses a Warp ring to open up a portal and the trio goes through before it closes.
