Three Months LaterI've noticed that I'm way better at the educational segment of training rather than the physical. Even though I've gotten better thanks to Miche and Hanges help, I'm still no match for them. But in return they're no match for me during schooling.
We've learnt about titans and their believed origin, their drive for killing and eating people, their anatomy, and of course how to kill them. The only way to kill a titan is to slice off their nape, which stuns their insane healing abilities and ultimately kills them.
Ever since we learned about that stuff, I had dreams and daydreams about killing titans. I wondered what it would be like, I wondered how I would react when face to face with a titan. I didn't know if I would be scared half to death or something.
Ever since that first sparing session Felix hasn't left me alone. I can't go a day without hearing him call me one of his dumb nicknames, he also steals my food during dinner. What a jackass. I don't know if he's mad that Miche stood up for me and bruised his ego, or if he just hated me for me. Although I really couldn't care less what he thought.
"Ughh!" I groaned as I had been thrown into the dirt floor once again, "I'm never gonna be good at fighting!" I yelled as I put my arms over my head, covering my eyes from the suns deathly glare.
"Oh, come on," Hange said as they pulled me up, "you can't give up that easily, you're getting better! I think."
Miche scoffed and shook his head, "I don't know how I can get you to understand this. If you can't perform basic fighting skills, then you won't be able to move on to the next segment of training. Get it together!" He yelled as he slapped the back of my head.
"Miche I'm trying! I'm not strong enough to fight head on with either of you, I wish there was a way I could fight you guys no matter if you were stronger than me." I mumbled as I wiped the sweat off my forehead.
It was no secret that as of now, I was the weakest member of the corps. It wasn't by choice either. I pushed myself day and night to make even just the slightest bit of improvement, but nothing works. Maybe I wasn't cut out to be a soldier after all. No matter what I tried I just couldn't get the hang of fighting. And it pissed me off, royally.
"F/n what're you gonna do during the combat test next week?" Hange asked as we began to walk towards the mess hall for dinner.
I sighed, "I don't know. I mean I'll try my best of course, but I don't think I'll be able to pass it, you guys might have to continue your work without m-"
"Nonsense!" Hange yelled, "there's no way we're gonna let you fail the test. Right Miche!" Hange glared at Miche, basically forcing him to agree with them.
"Ahh! Yes! Of course." He declared.
I smiled guiltily at them, "you guys are too kind. It must be a waste of time to try to train me huh."Hange and Miche both put their hand on my shoulder.
"You're our friend, of course we're going to help you."Miche nodded in agreement.
"You won't be able to help her if you keep drilling useless nonsense into her brain." A woman's voice said from behind us.
