Six Hours Later, Atop Wall Rose

My entire body felt numb, to be honest I don't even remember how I got up onto Wall Rose. Levi and I were to be sent back with most of the garrison and other squads from the Survey Corps to relay information to the government about the supposed breach. I couldn't even speak a word to anyone. I was still in shock, I couldn't believe that the people I held dearest to me for so long were gone. I couldn't even cry anymore, I was just numb.

"F/n, we'll be going down now." Levi said from beside me.
I couldn't even muster up a response, I just nodded with my same wide eyes stare. I could barely even look up from my feet.
"Oi." Levi said as he nudged me.
I didn't respond, I kept walking towards the lifts.

     "Oi!" He said louder.
     I once again stayed silent.
"Oi! F/n!" He yelled as he stepped in my path, blocking me from walking forward.
I mustered up the courage to look him in the eye. I could tell he was angry with me, yet his eyes held remorse.

"It's not like you to be completely unresponsive. You need to get it together." He said as he stepped closer to me, close enough were he had to look up a bit to even make eye contact, "to think you're always lecturing me about having no regrets." He sneered.

I closed my eyes and sighed, "you're right...I have no grounds to do that anymore, sorry." I said in a somber tone as I walked past him.
Levi whipped around and grabbed onto my sleeve, tugging me backwards.

"Quit that. Stop acting like your life is meaningless now." He said in an angry yet desperate tone.
"Sorry." I said flatly as I entered the lift, Levi was right at my side.
He didn't say another word as we were lifted down on the other side of the wall. The entire way back to Trost we didn't speak a word. We simply just accompanied each other back. It wasn't our usual comfortable silence either, you could cut the tension with a sword.

"We should get you into bed." Levi said as we arrived back to the barracks.
Part of me wanted to go to sleep, I wanted to wake up the next morning and forget everything that had happened. I wanted to believe it was all a bad dream. But another part of me wanted to do something else. I wanted to truly forget, I wanted to drink until I suffered immense amnesia.

"No." I said, "I'm not going to sleep."
Levi tilted his head, "eh? What do you mean."
I felt a sort of energy flow through me, "I'm going to a saloon." I said.

"You don't drink." Levi said in response.
"You're right, I don't." I said in a guilty tone, "you don't have to go with me."
"Tch, as if I would let you go to a bar with incompetent drunks alone. Of course I'm going with you." He said in annoyance, "I just don't understand why you're going in the first place."
I felt my face melt into sorrow, "to atone for all the drinks I missed with Fia and Felix."

I didn't even care to take off my uniform. I wanted to drink my sadness away, I prayed for alcohol poisoning or something. I just wanted to forget everything. I didn't want to feel anymore, I didn't want to miss them anymore.

"Eh? I don't see many scouts in here." The bartender said as the both of us sat down, "what can I get for ya?"
I honestly didn't have much knowledge of liquor or anything like that, but I knew I wanted one thing.

"Give me the strongest thing you have, and keep it coming." I said flatly.
The bartender nodded, "and for you?" He asked, referring to Levi.
"Water." He said.
"Never thought a soldier would order water, but so be it." The bartender said with a sigh.
Levi turned to me, "how many are you planning to have? I don't want you getting super drunk."

I smiled, "I don't know. I'll probably tap out after one. Liquor is disgusting."
The bartender came back with a water for Levi and a tiny glass with liquid filling it halfway. He set it down in front of me and then went to tend to other customers.
I stared at it for a moment, "this is awfully small." I said as I swirled the liquid around, "oh well."

I quickly poured all the liquid into my mouth and swallowed. My tongue began to burn, the taste was anything but pleasant.
"Gross..." I said as I fought the urge to throw it back up, "I don't know how they could drink all night."
Levi took a sip of his water, "have you had enough yet?" He asked.
I shook my head as I waved down the bartender, "no, not yet."

"I'll never let you even smell liquor ever again if it's the last thing I do. You idiot." Levi lectured as he propped my arm over his shoulder.
I smiled, "you're so...ah...what's the word...? Oh yes..! You're just so..considerate!...aren't you....Leviiiiii~" I cooed, I couldn't help but giggle.

"Tch, let's just get you back to the barracks. I can't deal with you right now." He said as his grip got tighter around me. He helped me walk throughout headquarters and to my room.

"Leviii~ you must care..a whole lot! Don't you..!" I said as tears filled my eyes. I wrapped my arms around him, "you're just the best...!"
"Shut up. I can barely even understand you." He said as he helped me onto my bed, "I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight."

I watched as he walked to the door, why is he going? Is he gonna leave too? I felt sad, I wanted him to stay.

"Levi!" I said loudly as I got up, wrapping my arms around his left arm, "don't leave me! Okay? Fia and Felix don't need you yettttt!"
Levi narrowed his eyes at me, "why don't you want me to leave?"

I took my arms away from his and spun around, I face planted onto my bed, "cause! Okay!? Don't leave me alone, you're so cruel~" I whined.

I felt a presence sit down next to me. I opened my eyes to see Levi looking down at me with worried eyes.

"You really are annoying aren't you." He said softly as he put his hand on my head.
I smiled as I melted into his touch.

"I just want you to be here forever, Leviiii~ I wanna be with you forever and ever!" I said happily as I sat up, I leaned my head on his shoulder, but I kept eye contact with him.
He looked surprised, "what do you mean...?"
I smiled even wider, "why else, dummy! Because I love youuuuu!" I said happily as I pulled him into a hug.

Levi tensed up, "what...did you say..?" He asked.
"Ehhh? Did you not hear me or something?" I asked, "oh well! I guess I'll just say it again, I love youuuu! I love you I love you I love you I love youuuuu~ I love you so, Levi Ackermann."
