Hange had us all gather in one of the old lecture halls early that morning, they wanted to go over every detail of everything they would be doing to Eren. Not even Eren had many objections. It seemed like he wanted to prove on any way he could that he was on our side.

"I thought of a way to avoid killing you," Levi said as he began to draw what seemed to be the backside of a titan, "well, F/n was the one who suggested it. So, thank her for me not resorting to killing you right away."

Eren nodded in agreement, "what is it?"
Levi cleared his throat, "If you're to go berserk, I'll cut you out along with the nape. Leaving you injured instead of dead all together. Your arms and legs most likely won't make it through, but I'm sure they'll grow back just like that tooth did. Creepy as hell if you ask me."

Eren held a scared expression, "wait a minute. I'm not even sure how these powers work, I don't know if they'll grow back or anything. Is there another way?"

I walked up to Eren and put my hand on his shoulder, "you're saying you want there to be no danger or cost whatsoever?" I asked in a condescending tone.
"N-no.."
"Then prepare yourself." I said as I walked past him and up to Levi, "you're not the only one at risk yknow."
Eren looked down at his feet, "r-right...sorry Captain."

     "So...I can experiment now..right?" Hange said from the corner, they had an intensely focused look on their face. It honestly scared me.
     Levi looked over at Hange, "There's a high risk to it, but then again we can't afford to not examine him. So go right ahead."

     Hange jumped up with excitement, "Let's get to it then! We'll head over to the well first of all, ahh I'm so excited!" They exclaimed as they took Eren's hand.

     Hange led Eren out, and the rest of us followed. Levi, Hange, Eren and I made our way towards the well Hange had been talking about. Everyone else was staying back in case anything went wrong. For this experiment, Eren was to climb down to the very bottom of the well and transform. That way we could conceal him. I was somewhat excited to see what would happen.

     "Are you ready, Eren?" Hange asked as they helped Eren onto the ladder.
     "Remember the signal, after we shoot that flare what you do is up to you." I said as I leaned over the edge, "be safe down there."

     "Let's fall back." Levi said as he mounted his horse, Hange and I weren't fare behind him. We distanced ourselves from the well, about 30 feet or more, just in case something went wrong.
     "Shoot the flare." Levi said as he handed me the flare gun.

     I raised the gun straight up into the air and covered my ear with my free hand. I shot the green flare, signaling the experiment was on.
     We waited for a moment, but nothing happened.
     "Eh? Didn't he see the signal?" Hange asked with disappointment.

     "No. We weren't even sure if this was going to work in the first place. F/n, come on." He said as he pulled forward.
     I followed close behind him, I was worried about Eren to say the least.
     "Eren!" I yelled as I quickly dismounted, I rushed over to the edge of the well and peered down to the bottom. Eren was standing looking up wards, his hands had bloody bite marks all over, and his face was covered in what I could only assume was his own blood.

     "Eren..." I said once again with disbelief.
     "Captain F/n...I can't transform..into a titan..." he mumbled; his expression stayed the same.
     "Oi!" I yelled to my squad, "get over here! Help Yeagar out!"

     Fia and Felix rushed over, "how do you want us to help, F/n." Fia asked.
     I looked back down at Eren, his hands were completely battered with bitemarks. Making him climb out would cause unnecessary pain.
     "Felix, head down there and grab Yeagar. Use your anchors to slowly lift you and the kid out." I ordered.
