The next few days were like a blur, we received word that Eren was to be handed in to the capital. Which meant the plan for retaking Wall Maria would have to be put on hold. Felix and Fia had been sent out to monitor the 104th, leaving me and Zunther behind. Levi and I hadn't spoke about him falling asleep on my shoulder at all, it seemed he didn't remember, and I just pretended that I didn't remember either, I pretended like it never happened.

"How's your leg, Levi." I asked as I took a sip of tea. Levi and I were accompanied by Eren in the empty mess hall.
Levi put his hand on his thigh, "it's not good." He said flatly.

Eren had a guilty look in his face, "I'm sorry," he said, "i made the wrong choice back then."
"Don't blame yourself," I said as I put my cup down, "you'll never know the right choice to make, the results are a complete mystery."
We sat in silence for a moment more. It wasn't uncomfortable, just heavy. The last few days were hellish for us all.

"Pardon the intrusion."
     The doors to the mess hall were then opened, revealing Erwin, and a few cadets from the 104th, Eren's friends and a few others who's names I can't remember off the top of my head.
Erwin stepped forward, "I believe we have a lead on who the female titan is."

I stood up with a surprised look on my face, "you're serious?" I asked in disbelief.
Levi turned his head to face Erwin, he held an intrigued expression on his face.
"Come, tell us what you have to say, Erwin." Levi said.

I stab back down in my chair. A boy with short blonde hair laid down a map of one of the districts of Wall Sina, Stohess if I was guessing correctly.

"Allow me to begin." Erwin said as he cleared his throat, "our plan is for the day after tomorrow, during the passage to the capital where we are to answer the summons at Stohess District. This will be our first and last chance. If we miss it, the capital will take custody of Eren, which will throw off our plans of taking back wall Maria, and it will give those who wish to destroy the wall the upper hand. We must wager everything."

Erwin pulled out a pencil and began to draw around the map of Stohess, "the plan is as follows," he began as he pointed to a spot where he had drawn a circle around, "we will pass through Stohess, Eren, you will act as bait to lure the target into the underground tunnels. You will bring them to the lowest level, restricting their moments even if they were to transform. But on the other hand, if the target were to transform before you get them underground, Eren, you are the only one we can count on."

Eren looked up from the map and to Erwin, "Yes sir! So the main target is without a doubt in Stohess district?" He asked nervously.
Erwin nodded his head once, "yes, the target is part of the military police brigade."
"The military police?" Eren asked.
"Armin is the one who inferred that. According to him, the female titan is most likely responsible for killing the two titans we had in our custody, and is possibly from the 104th training corps like yourself."

Eren looked like he was about to throw up.
Erwin leaned back in his chair, "the suspected name of the female titan, is Annie Leonhart."
Eren stood up in a flash, "you can't be serious!" He yelled.

"Hey. Mind your manners when speaking to him. Sit down." I said quickly as I shot him a glare.

Eren looked at me with a nervous expression as he obliged my order. He looked to his friends, he looked to Levi, to me, then to Erwin once again.

"You're sure about this?" He asked, he seemed like he didn't want to believe it at all. Like it was some farce.
"Eren, Annie had Marcos ODM gear. The female titan recognized your nickname, which only those from the 104th know. There's a good chance it's her." The boy with the blonde hair said, I assumed he was Armin.
Erwin got up from his seat, "Be prepared to fight, Eren. We'll be placing our bets on you."

     Levi and I were up on the roof once again, since we have been back at the old castle, it became a habit for us. Even though it wasn't easy for me to stay up with him, I pulled through, after all spending time with him was all I really wanted to do.
    
     "Are you going to be able to partake in this mission, Levi?" I asked, looking from the stars to him.
     Levi kept his gaze locked on the clear night sky, "I'm not sure. This annoying injury would hinder my abilities greatly. I wouldn't be able to protect you."

     I smiled softly, "you don't have to worry about me like that. Nothings gonna happen to me."
     Levi finally looked me in the eye, I noticed his hand had gotten closer to mine as well.
     "I feel like it's my duty to protect you, F/n." He said gently, not breaking eye contact for a moment.

     "Is that the only reason you do it?" I asked in a teasing voice.
     "Isn't that reason enough?" He said defensively.
     I laughed and broke eye contact, speaking with him was still hard, my pulse was still out of control, but I guess it's easy to forget how nervous I am when we're just talking like normal.
     "Maybe I should take myself out of the mission as well." I said as I stared into the sky.
     Levi nudged me a bit, "they're gonna need you out there."

     "Didn't you just say you had to protect me?" I teased.
     Levi nodded, "just because I protect you doesn't mean you're not strong."
     I felt my face get hot, shit! I prayed he didn't notice. I did my best to play it cool. How stupid I felt having a school girl crush on the man I presumed to be my best friend and nothing more.

     "Levi, I think that's the first time you've ever actually complimented me." I said, trying to hide the nervousness in my voice.
     "Tch, don't get used to it." He said flatly. And just like that the affectionate Levi was gone again.
