"Do you really think it'll reappear? When we ran those experiments with Eren, he could barely transform a second time." I said as we kept on through the forest, we were close behind those on horseback.

"If it can conserve its strength better then Eren, then it probably-"
A flash of bright yellow light blinded our eyes, it was followed by the sound of a scream, a titan's scream. It sounded like Eren's titan, he had transformed, which could only mean that the female titan had reappeared afterall.
"Levi! We have to go back!" I yelled as I changed course.

"Right behind you!" He yelled back as he followed me. We upped our speed as we maneuvered through the maze of trees. Our only sense of direction was the screams coming from Eren's titan, we followed the sound as it got louder and more desperate.

"Who's that?" I asked loudly, there was someone hanging from their ODM gear, they seemed lifeless. As we got closer, I realized who it was, it was Gunther, his neck had been slashed.

Levi didn't say a word, he held an expression I had only seen once from him, when Farlan and Isabel died. We both had slowed down our pace, he stared at Gunther's body as we passed.

I looked around for everyone else, I could still hear Eren's titans screams, they were closer. Down on the ground I saw another, it was Eld, his body had been bit in half, only his upper remained. We once again passed slowly, Levi's face was the same, he looked to be in pain.

On a tree was Petra, Olou wasn't far from her. Petras body was crushed to mush, she was stomped on by the female titan. Levi's teeth were grit together, his entire squad had been wiped out.

"Levi, where's your mind right now." I asked cautiously.
He didn't say a word, he looked at me with his dead looking expression. His eyes were strained, his breaths were steady. He wanted to go on a rampage, like he was reliving Isabel and Farlans death.

"Let's focus on the mission." He said flatly as he picked up speed towards the direction of Eren. I made sure to stay close behind him. The screams were slowly getting quieter, that was until they stopped all together.

"Speed up. We can't count on Eren's victory." Levi said as he began to propel himself at full speed towards the fight. I found myself struggling to keep up with him, he had completely lost his cool.

When we had finally arrived at the scene, Eren's titan was nowhere to be found. One of Eren's friends, Mikasa Ackermann, was now engaged in battle with the female titan. She seemed to be out of her mind as well.

     According to reports she was the top of the 104th and worth 50 soldiers, she was fighting so recklessly. I could only assume something bad happened to Eren.

I saw as she was about to swing down at the titan's nape, I knew if the titan managed to harden her skin, Mikasa would surely die this time.

"Hey!" I yelled as I sped towards her, I grabbed her just in time and held onto her as tight as I could.

"W-what..!" She said in a confused tone as she looked up at me.
"Fall back for now, let us handle this." I said in a calm voice as we lagged behind the female titan, who was now trying to escape. She was slow, which meant she must be exhausted.
Levi grouped up with Mikasa and I, and the three of us began to follow far behind the female titan.

"Oi," Levi said, "is Eren dead?" He asked her.
Mikasa shook her head with an angry look on her face, "no, he's not. That titan is intelligent, capturing Eren seems to be its goal. It stuffed him in its mouth rather than eating him.  He's alive for sure." She said in a determined tone.
     Levi and I both nodded as we looked at each other, we knew what we had to do.
