           Dear Calin,
Hey, it's been a little while since I've written you. The letters are getting harder and harder to hide, I've lost count of them at this point. You wouldn't believe the state of hell the world has been in these past five years. But I'm sure you'd be pleased to hear the Survey Corps is at its highest point once again, missions are for sure harder than ever, but the total deaths have gone down a noticeable amount. Well, I'm off on another mission again today. I will write you again soon.

                  Love,
           F/n

"Where's your mind off to? Huh?" Levi said from next to me.
"Oh nothing," I said as I fixed my posture on my saddle, "just thinking about how this mission is going to go, I have a weird feeling. I feel like something horrible is going to happen."
Levi scoffed, "when did you become a psychic."
I smiled softly, "just one of those feelings I guess."

The five years after the fall of Wall Maria, the scouts took a drastic turn. First of all, Levi had become a captain, which meant he was no longer part of my squad. His squad consisted of three men and one woman, although I didn't get along with his new squad very much, the woman, Petra was a joy to be around. Levi's popularity had also sky rocketed, not so much in the corps, but he was labeled Humanity's Strongest Soldier by the civilians. It wasn't a lie either. Erwin had also gotten a promotion, he was now the official commander of the Survey Corps, a fitting position for someone like him.

"Look! It's Levi!"
I glanced over to whoever was gushing at him, for some reason I felt a little strange about it. It was the new soon to be graduates, the 104th. I had heard great things about this year's soldiers, some strong kids.

"Tch. Brats." Levi dead panned as he glared in their direction.
"Levi, they really look up to you. Don't you think you could be a tad bit nicer?" I said teasingly.

He met my eyes, "why would I be nicer to people I couldn't give two shits about?" He asked in a genuinely confused tone.
I shrugged, "it helps your image."
"I could care less about that."
I looked around at all of the people that gathered to send the Corps off with prayers and hopes of victory. Things had changed so much, the survey corps borough hope to the people once again.

"I hope I get to see an abnormal!" Hange said excitedly as her and Miche rode up next to us.
"You're always praying on our downfall huh glass face." Fia teased.
Hange bit her inner cheek, "you're so mean Fia."
The sound of the gate bell interrupted the stirring conversation.

"It is time to execute the 57th expedition outside the walls! Give your heart!" Erwin yelled as the gates began to open up, letting us into Titan territory.

I gripped my reins hard; the feeling of despair was turning into a storm in my stomach. My chest was tight with anxiety.
"Oi," Levi deadpanned as we began to pick up speed, "don't lose your head. I don't want you to die."
I smiled warmly at him, "never."

My defenses were at a high as we rode through one of many abandoned towns, not having a clear view of the terrain all around me gave me anxiety. You never knew when a titan would just pop out and bite your head off.
"Three 14-meter class titans! Northeast!"
Levi and I glanced at each other.
"Squad F/n and squad Levi will handle it!" I yelled.

I heard Fia groan behind me, "you always make us fight the hard battles!"
"What are you scared?" Felix teased, in which he received a punch on the arm.
"Focus up! We have no time to argue!" I yelled as I began to speed up, "switch to ODM gear! Petra, Felix, Zunther! Aid any wounded soldiers nearby! Fia, Eld, Oluo, Gunther, provide support while Levi and I take out the titans in the area!" I ordered.

"Rodger that!" They said in unison as we began to disperse.
"You ready, Levi?" I asked with a grin as I unsheathed my blades.
Levi nodded in return, he too readied his blades and stood up onto his saddle, "let's get this over with."

It was nearing the middle of the day now, most of the titans in the area had been exterminated by Levi, Miche, Hange, and I. There weren't many casualties, but there were still enough to be worried by.

"I don't even remember the plan anymore, do you?" I asked Levi as I wiped my blades.
She shook his head, "Erwin's goals are always hard to figure out."

I chuckled, "ain't that the truth. Let's regroup, I'm sure we'll be heading back soon, if not now."
Levi nodded and whistled for his horse, as did I. We both mounted and began to ride back to the group. Once we got there, we realized that everyone was in a state of panic.

"What's going on?" I asked as I rode up to Erwin, Levi was close behind me.
Erwin looked scared out of his mind, "the walls, Trost has been compromised by titans."
"What!?" I yelled, "what are we gonna do? We can't afford to lose yet another wall to the titans, we'll go extinct as a species."

"What's what I'm afraid of, we need to get there as soon as possible." He said, "Scouts! Round up! Get your gear ready! We are riding back to Trost at full speed! Titans have once again threatened our existence! Give your hearts!"
My heart was pounding the entire ride back to Trost, I didn't know what the future held, and I was terrified.

As the walls came into view, I noticed that the hole the colossal titan had kicked through was seemingly patched, there was no way to get in, something was in the way.

"What's going on here..." I said to myself.
"Switch to ODM gear, we have to get over the wall." Levi deadpanned as he launched himself towards the wall, he scaled it in seconds.
I did the same, and once I got to the top the horror of it all was sickening. It was just like five years ago. Houses were destroyed, I could see titans feeding on soldiers and citizens alike. A straight massacre, and we were too late. The garrison was left to handle the trouble, and they died doing so.

"What's going on down there?" Levi asked as he pointed down to the gate.
There was a titan, seemingly dead, right in front of a huge boulder. There were two people down with that titan, no three. A girl with black shoulder length hair seemed to be ripping something out of the nape of the dead titan, and there were two titans coming right for them.
"We have to help!" I said as I looked Levi, who had already drawn his blades.

The both of us, without speaking a word, began to charge towards the abnormal sight. I was to take the one on the right, which was lagging behind the one on the left. We managed to slice their napes completely in sync.

"Oi." Levi said in a demanding tone, I walked up right behind him to take in the sight. The girl with the shoulder length hair held a boy with weird markings on his face, he looked frail. There was another boy with a sort of bobbed haircut, he was a blonde.
"What the hell is going on here?"
