I woke up that morning with a slight headache as the sunlight seeping through the window pierced into my eyes. Levi and I had fallen asleep together that night once again, but he was already long gone and out of bed. I sat up slowly as my eyes adjusted to the bright room. I lifted myself off the bed and towards my wardrobe.

Since we were hiding out, we weren't obligated to wear our gear unless we deemed it absolutely necessary, which meant we could wear normal clothes for the time being. I picked out a black long sleeve button up shirt, and my standard uniform pants. I then brushed through my ratty morning hair and pinned it up and out of my face. I took a quick look in the mirror before opening the door to Levi and I's room and waking towards the kitchen.

"Goodmoring.." I said softly.
Everyone was sitting around the table drinking tea and talking amongst themselves.
"Finally you're awake." Levi said as he glanced at me, "good morning."

I smiled guiltily, "my bad..I never really get to sleep like that anymore." I said as I walked towards the stove where hot water was boiling. I poured myself a cup and dipped a tea bag into the cup.

"What's the plan for today?" I asked as I turned around and blew on the hot cup of tea.
"Hange wants to do some experiments as soon as possible. Eren needs to master hardening." Levi said as he took a sip of tea.
I nodded in agreement. I glanced over to Eren, who was fidgeting with his fingers all nervous like.

"You alright, Yeagar?" I asked with concern.
He nodded slowly, "it's just, I haven't been able to even figure out how to harden my titans skin, let alone do it." He said as he looked down into his cup.

Levi set his tea down, "you have no choice but to master hardening. Humanity is counting on you." Levi said as he glared at Eren.
I felt bad. It seemed Levi always had it out for Eren, although I thought that maybe he was just showing tough love.

"Let's get to it then, I'm sure it'll all be fine, Eren." I said with a soft smile as I placed my hand on Eren's shoulder.
I noticed that Levi looked angrier than before now, and he was glaring at both Eren and me.

    "Eren! Come on! Get up! All of humanity is counting on you yknow!" Hange yelled.
     Eren had just transformed for a third time, and instead of having a fully developed fifteen meter class titan, it was barely ten meters. The bottom half of his titan was just skin and bones, and half of Eren's body was hanging out of the nape.
     "Hange..do you think we're pushing too much?" I asked nervously.

     They didn't respond to me. Hange swung their sword over their shoulder, "Eren! Can you hear me!? Give us some kind of signal!" They yelled.
     I watched as Mikasa jumped off her horse and ran quickly to Eren's aid.

     "Oi..that gloomy one is acting out of order again. Don't you think it's time to think of a punishment?" Levi said as he narrowed his eyes at the scene.

     "No, Eren's not giving us a signal. We have to cut him out." Hange said as they deployed their anchors and rushed towards Eren.

     "Looks like our main plan for sealing the wall won't work after all." Zunther said as he walked up to Levi and I.

      I nodded, "although it was a good idea by Armin, he too knew it would be a long shot when he suggested it." I said with a sigh.
