DAVID

"It's your birthday!"

Napatayo ang dalawa kung braso dahil sa boses ni Kim at Ashlyn at Mariah. Sabay sabay silang kumakanta ng happy birthday kahit bukas pa ang birthday ko.

And I've no plan to celebrate it. Busy ako bukas. Siguro I'll just cook sa bahay and invite them and 'yun na 'yun.

Masayado masayang sa oras at pera if mag papa birthday pa ako ng ingrande.

Tapos susundan at susundan parin kami ng mga paparazzi kahit sa liblib na lugar ako mag pa party. Kahit na gusto ko na kami kami lang sa birthday ko, paparazzi are everywhere. Kaya buti na dito nalang ako sa bahay kasi bawal na sila pumunta sa bahay ko at pwede na ako mag demanda.

Pag nasa public place ako, they can take a picture with me. Pero pag andito na ako sa bahay hindi na pwede. I can sue them.

"Tomorrow is my birthday, girls, not today. And why are you here? You guys literally barged into my office. I can't believe my guards let all of you in during working hours. Don't you have jobs?" I rolled my eyes.

"Oh! Come on! Stop being in a bad mood." Ashlyn said.

"Yea, Rhea. You should drink!" Kim said.

I looked at her. "Drink? At two pm? Are you serious, Kim?"

"Okay, okay. Stop, guys. The truth is, Rhea, we are here because we want to go shopping. It's on us because this is our birthday gift to you. We cancelled all our plans for today just to be with you." Mariah said with her puppy eyes.

"Ya." Ashlyn said with her puppy eyes also.

"So you all expect me to cancel all my meetings and plans for today just to go shopping?"

"It's not just about shopping you know, it's our bonding." Mariah said.

"Where's Audi by the way?" I asked.

"Well, Audi texted me that she can't come because she's busy preparing for her wedding," Mariah said excitedly.

I nodded. "Oh, okay."

"So you should enjoy your life before you get married. Enjoy your time with boys." Ashlyn laughed.

"True. I also hope you find a man who will love you because you never tell us about your love life. We only know two men in your life, Noel and Raul. Don't you have others?"

I looked at them. "No, there's no man in my life."

"That's sad. Don't you ask for the names of the boys you've had one-night stands with?" Kim asked.

Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi ni Kim. "I've never had a one-night stand."

She laughed. "We know. We know you're still a virgin. Gosh, you're getting older, Rhea. Go explore your life." Kim said.

"I've already explored my life, that's why I'm here, Kim. This is enough."

Dahil gusto ko din naman sila makasama, hindi ko lang pinapahalata. I cancelled all my meetings today. Nag effort din naman sila na pumunta dito.

Andito na kami ngayon sa mall at nag hahanap ng mga damit. Madaming tao nag aabang sa labas at buti nalang kumuha si Ashlyn ng guards.

"Babe, don't worry about tomorrow, okay? We got this." Kim said.

"We got this? Yea yea. I know that. You all planning to celebrate my birthday in the bar." I rolled my eyes.

"Please! I'm begging you! Drink! Alcohol!" Kim said.

"Hey! For your information, I was so drunk on Noel's birthday and it's because of you."

"That's enough, guys. Remember the guy singing and playing guitar at Noel's birthday? I told my secretary to find him, and we did. He will sing at your birthday, and he will be the last one to perform because there will be a band playing first. We know you don't like noisy environments." Mariah said.

"Yep. Even if our venue is in the bar, our music is soft. Because we want you to be comfortable and happy in your birthday, babe." Ashlyn said.

Lumabas na kami sa mall at habang byahe kami napaisip ako kung sino ang tinutukoy ni Mariah na singer. Because before ako nakatulog, I heard his voice at maganda talaga.

"Hey, Mariah."

"Yes?"

"What's the name of the singer you got for my birthday?"

"Uh he's David."

Nanlaki ang mata ko at umayos sa pag ka upo.

"Why, you know him?"

"I don't know."

"What? What do you mean I don't know?"

"No, I- uhm. Is David his real name?"

Nag tugpo ang dalawa niyang kilay. "Yea. That's the name she told to my secretary so yea."

Pag tinggin ko kay Kim ay sobrang seryoso ang pag tinggin niya saakin.

"Is that the one you've been in one night stand?" Tawa niya at tawa din ni Ashlyn.

"Can you guys stop? And Ashlyn, stop laughing. Focus on the road. And you Kim, shut up."

"Fine fine." She smiled.

"Ashlyn, drop me off at my company. I will go home and use my car."

"You sure?

I nodded.

"Thank you guys for your time. I- I am not just feeling well today and I want to go home."

"It's okay, babe. Save your energy for tomorrow." Mariah said.

"Thank you. Call Audi guys, tell her I want her tomorrow on my birthday."

"Yea, sure." Kim said.

Pauwi na ako ngayon at lumalakas parin ang pintig ng puso ko sa sinabi ni Mariah kanina. Hindi pwede! Yes! Hindi talaga pwede! Marami namang David at ang David naman ay pangalan lang niya as a author. I am sure hindi siya 'yun! Sana.... sana nga..

Nag mamadali na ako pinark ang sasakyan ko at pumunta sa kwarto ko. Hindi ko pa tinapon ang mga binigay niya saakin. Even his published books andito pa saakin. Even his unpublished stories ay andito pa sa laptop ko.

Kahit na galit ako sakanya hindi ko pa kaya itapon ang mga binigay niya. I know dadating ang araw na 'yun.. pero hindi pa ngayon.

Naka move on na 'ko sakanya pero hindi ko kaya mag move on sa memories na pinag samahan namin. Mahirap mag move on. Minahal ko yung tao eh.
