Upon leaving the city the guards used a teleportation scroll to reach the realm of Davenport, that was the first time Rebecca used teleportation magic, she felt dizzy and as if her entire body was destroyed and put back together.

When the scythes opened the door of the carriage telling the young princess that they had already arrived they found her panting in pain, they did not ask her if she had ever traveled using teleportation scrolls as being a princess they had assumed that she had.

The first time they traveled with the teleportation scrolls it could be very tiring, but they never heard that it was painful, they thought the princess was faking it and ignored her.

-Please come down, princess, don't keep his majesty the king waiting.

They forced her out of the carriage even though Rebecca could barely stand, tired and sore she walked almost crawling. They took her to a huge temple, Rebecca walked without stopping, every step was painful and exhausting, when they entered the temple she saw that it was beautifully decorated with flowers, the place was full of people and in the background there was a huge statue of Juno, goddess of marriage, the guards told her to walk without stopping, on the altar next to the statue was a man, Rebecca had her eyesight blurred even from the journey and until she was not close enough she could not distinguish the factions of that one.

He was tall, broad-shouldered and tightly muscled, had brown hair and beautiful brown eyes, and the closer he got the bigger the man seemed to Rebecca. He had a displeased expression on his face that he didn't bother to hide.

He must be the groom, Rebecca thought, that meant this was her wedding.

She walked until she was facing the King of Davenport, Setherian Rollins, Rebecca didn't bow at all, she didn't speak with sweet words either, she just said:

-Hello.

His words were curt, they showed no feeling, no pain, no anger, no fear, no hatred, his words sounded empty.

The king frowned, annoyed that she was so insolent, that she would despise him like that in front of everyone as if to say, "I will not bow down to you, you do not deserve my respect."

What the king didn't know was that Rebecca didn't have the slightest idea about the etiquette she should show in the presence of someone in high office, since she had never received such an education. The king held out his hand, annoyed at having to touch the daughter of his sworn enemy, Setherian wanted to end that situation as soon as possible so he cut the ceremony short and said:

-In front of the goddess Juno I unite my life to you, from today we will be husband and wife.

Rebecca didn't say anything, she just sat silent, not knowing what to do, or what to say, the king gave her a glass of wine and said:

-Drink.

Rebecca did as he commanded her, the king did the same, then he put the cup on the table and with a dagger that was on the table he made a small cut in the palm of his hand spilling blood on a parchment, he told Rebecca to do the same, when the blood of the two mixed, the scroll glowed and a mark appeared on Rebecca's left hand and Setherian's left hand. It was a mark that bound them together as a couple, the mark could not be erased and the only time it would disappear would be the moment when one of them died, freeing the other from his commitment, from his oath before the goddess.

Rebecca looked at the mark on her hand, it was like a tattoo of a gold color shining like gold that stood out on her white skin.

-You are my wife now, I hope you behave like one-, said the king, he did not kiss her, nor did he hold her hand, he was supposed to do those two things but he decided to omit it, she knew what that meant, even if you are my wife I will not treat you as such.

At that moment Rebecca bowed a little and said:

-I'll be in your care from now on.

Setherian annoyed his way to the exit, Rebecca followed him silently as all hate-filled eyes focused on her.

Setherian climbed into the carriage that was waiting for them at the entrance, Rebecca stood in front of the carriage.

-Aren't you going up?- Said Setherian from inside the carriage.

Rebecca went upstairs and the coachman started immediately. Setherian closed his eyes, just the sight of her made him furious and wanted to take her delicate neck in his hands and break it. The kingdom of Davenport had suffered greatly because of the king of Baldoyle, after years of war one day the king of Baldoyle sent a messenger asking for a truce through the bond of marriage, after all the suffering that the kingdom of Davenport had suffered from the war, he had no choice but to accept the marriage. When they arrived at the palace, Setherian got out of the carriage first and told one of the servants to guide the princess to her room. There were no banquets, no dances for the marriage, that was something that instead of making her feel sad or angry made Rebecca feel relieved since she could go directly to rest, something she deeply desired since she still felt bad about the trip, a servant guided her through the corridors of that magnificent castle and took her to a room.

-This will be your room, please don't go out alone, if you need anything pull the rope next to your bed and I'll come right away.

Rebecca looked at the exquisite room she had been given, apparently she was also a prisoner there, although she was glad that her prison was more beautiful than the previous one, before the maid left Rebecca asked her to bring her something light to eat and a basket of fruit, the maid nodded her head and left.

Rebecca checked the room, it was a room fit for a princess, then she took off her veil and the ornaments from her hair, the ornaments were heavy and gave her a severe headache, then she tried to take off her dress but she could not do it by herself, she had to wait for the maid to return to ask for help. With nothing else to do Rebecca took off the uncomfortable shoes that had been squeezing her feet and threw herself on the bed, it was so soft and fluffy that Rebecca felt as if she was sleeping on a cloud, she didn't remember having had such a soft bed in her entire life, she looked at the ceiling of her room and thought: "I think I'll have a good life in this place."
