CHAPTER 49: A SEE YOU LATER

When Roman left Setherian was left thinking about what he had told her, to check his heart and his feelings, he felt at ease with the princess, even if sometimes he thought she was annoying, he wanted to be by her side and protect her, he did not want to see her suffer, especially because she was the only one who could heal Roman's injury, the only one who could give him a second opurtunity to return to his old self.

Setherian got up from the table and thought, "it's not love, Roman is completely wrong". Arriving at his room he hesitated for a moment to enter, though he didn't quite know why, as he entered he saw the maids finishing drying Rebecca's hair, when they saw him they curtsied, Setherian ordered them to leave the room.

Rebecca remained seated in front of the mirror, when she saw that the maids were leaving she took a comb and began to comb her hair, Setherian stood behind her, touched her reddish hair and used her magic to dry it.

-How are you feeling?- He asked her.

-I'm fine- Rebecca answered without stopping combing her hair.

Setherian continued to caress her hair, running his fingers through it gently, Rebecca was dressed in a light white nightgown that left her shoulders bare, he pushed her hair aside, her neck looked seductive, he ran his fingers through her neck giving her a soft caress. Rebecca's cheeks turned red, he could see it through her reflection in the mirror, it tempted him, he brought his mouth to her neck and gave her a soft kiss that left a small red mark on her neck, it made her startle.

-Are you afraid of me? Do you hate it when I touch you? Do you hate it when I kiss you?

-No, but I don't want to feel pain again.

Setherian gave her a kiss on the cheek and said.

-That won't happen.

Rebecca turned around, her golden eyes locked on Setherian's, he kissed her on the lips and said.

-Next time I'll make sure it doesn't hurt- Setherian stroked her hair- Let's go to sleep, it's been a long day.

Rebecca listened to him and got into bed, after covering herself with the sheet he lay down next to her and she asked him.

-Tomorrow can I go for a walk in the garden?

-Of course, but don't overdo it, you must rest because we'll be leaving soon, we'll make a long trip by carriage, so you must take care of your body.

-Thank you very much- Rebecca smiled, she was happy to regain a little of her freedom.

-Good night Rebecca- Setherian put his arms around her.

She settled in his arms, even though it was hot she didn't mind sleeping in his arms, she hugged him back and answered.

-Goodnight Setherian.

A week later at dinner Setherian told them that they would be leaving the next day first thing in the morning. Rebecca was very excited, however, Romano was not.

-Tomorrow?- He asked.

-Yes, do you have a problema- Setherian said.

Romano had arranged to meet Leah the next day, she had insisted on going on a date, he had promised he would go, he never imagined his brother would announce they were going on a trip without warning.

-It's just that it's so sudden.

-I know, it's just that a problem has arisen in one of the towns I have to go to, that's why I decided to bring the trip forward, do you have a problem with us leaving tomorrow?

Romano still hadn't told his brother about his escapades from the palace, nor had he told him about Leah and he didn't want to do it either.

-No, I just didn't want to get up so early- he replied.

-If that's the problem, we can leave at noon, is that all right?

-Yes, thank you very much.

The next day Romano got up very early, he escaped from the palace and went to the bookstore, when he arrived the store was still closed, he was waiting for a long time until Leah arrived, when she saw him she said.

- What are you doing so early?

-What are you doing so early? Don't tell me you missed me so much that you couldn't wait to see me?

-No, actually I came to tell you that I won't be able to attend our date, I'll be away for a few days.

Leah was saddened to hear that he had only come to cancel their date and told him.

-When will you be back?

-I don't know.

-But you will be back?

-Yes.

Leah kissed him on the cheek and said.

-Then we'll have that date when you get back.

-Goodbye.

Romano started to walk away, before Leah entered the tent he suddenly asked her.

-Why do you insist on going out with me? I'm a boring person and...

Romano squeezed his leg, he didn't dare to say the last words to her, Leah smiled at him in response.

-You're so weird, I don't understand you.

-I'm not weird, just someone who doesn't get carried away by the cover of a book and I know that in you there's something wonderful and if I keep insisting maybe I'll be surprised with what I'll get.

-I repeat again, you are rare- Romano told her with a smile.

Leah stared at him she loved his smile, she told him.

-I'll be waiting for you so come back soon.

When Romano returned to the palace he found his brother in the corridors, he saw the clothes he was wearing and asked him.

-Where did you come from?

-From nowhere.

-The servants have been looking for you everywhere and no one could find you.

-I was in the library, they didn't look in the right place.

Setherian stared at him as if he didn't believe what he was telling him, Romano wanted to change the subject and asked.

-Is everything ready?

-Yes, we'll be leaving shortly so if you have something to do I suggest you hurry.

-Of course.

-Then I'll go get the princess, I'll see you in the dining room, we'll leave after lunch.

-Yes.

Romano started to walk away, Setherian called out to him, he turned around and asked.

-What's wrong?

-Nothing, I just wanted to tell you to hurry up.

-I will, Seth.
