CHAPTER 18: DO YOU LOVE HER?

That night Rebecca went back to wait for the king in his chambers, she was hungry, in the room there was a basket of fruits, she stared at it for a long time doubting whether to take any fruit, her stomach was growling with hunger, Rebecca touched her stomach and said to him.

-I'm sorry for making you hungry.

In the end Rebecca couldn't take the hunger anymore and took an apple, after eating it she took a few grapes and some strange fruits that she didn't know but they were delicious, when she felt satisfied she sat down on the bed to wait for the king since her legs hurt from standing waiting for the king to arrive, Setherian was taking so long that in the end she ended up lying down on the bed and falling asleep. When Setherian came in he saw the princess lying on the bed, he went over to check if she was awake, she was sound asleep, he covered her with the blankets, then got ready for sleep, he lay down next to her, looked at the wound on her hand and wondered what would happen, would her wound go away or would it be there the next day.

Setherian could not sleep well at night, for that reason he would return late to his chamber, but last night and today were different, being with the princess he began to feel drowsy, his eyelids felt heavy and he fell asleep quickly. The next day Setherian woke up first, he had had a good night's sleep, he had not had any of the nightmares that tormented him during the nights.

He looked at his hand, there was not even a small mark, his wound was completely gone, he was shocked and at the same time excited, that meant that his brother had a chance that his injury could be healed. Setherian got up quickly, went straight to his office and ordered the guards not to disturb him for the rest of the day, locked his office door, moved an ornament from a bookcase in his office and a secret passage opened.

Now that he knew that the princess possessed magic he had to find out what kind of magic it was, he knew that there were many magics that had been lost with the passage of time and of which no one knew anything, however, the royal family possessed books older than the kingdom itself, books that only the king could consult.

He spent hours searching the books for all types of magic that had ever existed, until he finally found what he was looking for, the magic of light. A magic as old as creation itself that only a few had possessed, that magic was so valuable that those who possessed such magic were considered saints, bearers of the light of the goddess Juno. A magic that could heal wounds and serious injuries, a magic that even nullified other magics.

The more he read, the more fascinated Setherian became, he could not believe that King Quin had given him someone as powerful as the princess, but as this was a lost magic it could not be easily detected, if it had not been for his brother, Setherian would not have realized the valuable power that the princess possessed.

Setherian went to look for his brother, he wanted to tell him what he had discovered, he searched the palace but did not find him, then he remembered that his brother had told him that he visited the princess every day, the two were sitting on a blanket under a large tree, both seemed relaxed with each other, his brother seemed happy as he had not seen him for a long time, he did not dare to interrupt them. That night during dinner Setherian had all the servants leave and leave them alone, Romano asked.

-About the princess, she possesses light magic, it's a very old magic practically forgotten.
