Setherian felt bad to see Rebecca crying so disconsolately, he did not know what to say to make her calm down, he sighed heavily and told her.

-Stop crying, if you want to stay in this place you can.

Rebecca's tears stopped and she asked.

-Can I really stay here?

-Yes, no one will bother you anymore, I will send the butler from time to time to make sure you lack nothing, if you don't want the maids to come they won't.

Rebecca bent her head and said to him.

-Thank you very much.

Setherian turned around, went to the door and before leaving he turned his gaze one last time to the princess and said.

-Thank you for saving me in the forest a few days ago.

-You are welcome, thank your majesty for allowing me to stay here.

Setherian left and gave his new orders to the butler, after that visit the maids stopped going to bother Rebecca and gave her back her peaceful days. The butler was the only one who came from time to time, he had brought her comfortable clothes and shoes, he also brought her food and some spices for cooking.

That winter Rebecca had a great time, as she had warm clothes and shoes she could go out of her house and play in the snow, when she did she felt as happy as a little girl, she could not remember the last time she had enjoyed the winter like that, if she had ever done so. Rebecca was making a snowman when a man approached her and asked.

-Who are you?

Rebecca stared at the man, he bore some resemblance to her husband although perhaps a little younger, she continued making her snowman and she returned the question.

-Shouldn't I be the one to ask who you are?

-I am Romano, and who are you?

-My name is Rebecca.

Romano had gone for a walk, lost in his thoughts he had not paid much attention to where he was going and at the end he had arrived to that far part of the palace, when he had seen that red hair that stood out even more in that gray landscape, he approached with curiosity wondering who that person was, when he saw the face of that woman he was ecstatic, she was a very beautiful young woman.

-And what are you doing here?

-I live here- Rebecca pointed to the small house where she lived.

-You alone?

-Yes.

Romano moved a little closer to see Rebecca up close, he touched and pulled her hair to see if she was real.

-What are you doing?- Rebecca asked annoyed.

-Your hair is real.

-Of course it is.

-Then you must be King Quin's daughter.- Romano pulled Rebecca's hair as he remembered that because of that man he had almost died.

-Ouch! That hurts-, Rebecca complained as she felt her hair being pulled.

-You know all the damage and pain that your father has caused to this kingdom, maybe you should pay for his sins," said Romano as he pulled Rebecca's hair harder.

-And why do I have to pay for something I didn't do? People who misbehave are supposed to be punished, why give the punishment of someone bad to someone good, I am my father's daughter but that doesn't mean that I am the one who has done all those things.

Romano let go of Rebecca's hair, several strands of red hair remained in her hand, Rebecca caressed her sore head and said.

-Why do you want to blame me for what I didn't do? I don't understand, would you like to be punished by someone else just because they are family?

Rebecca got up from where she was crouched down, leaving her snowman half-finished, and said to him.

-You don't want to blame me for my father's sins.

Rebecca walked home leaving Romano behind, he shouted at her.

-Don't turn your back on me, come back here immediately.

Rebecca didn't want that man to pull her hair again or even worse, to hit her, so she ran inside the house, closed the door, blocked it with a thick wood, she wanted to stay away from that bad man. He pounded the door furiously and shouted in annoyance.

-Open the door, you fucking bitch.

Rebecca was afraid of what the man would do, she huddled in the corner of the house covering her ears with her hands wishing he would go away and leave her alone. Finally Romano got tired of knocking on the door, he went back to the palace and looked for his brother, he was working in his office when Romano suddenly burst in.

-Seth, why is that bitch still alive?

-I don't know who you're talking about Roman, and that's no way to enter my office.

-I'm talking about Quin's daughter, why haven't you killed her yet?

-I remind you that we signed a peace treaty by marriage, killing her would mean starting the war again, our kingdom has suffered many damages and losses, we couldn't win the war.

-But...

-I understand how you feel Roman, but there is nothing I can do, although I also want to kill her I am not willing to pay the price that it entails.

-Setherian.

-Don't go near that girl Roman, don't even think of hurting her and this is not a request, it's an order.

Roman squeezed his leg, it hurt horrendously from running all the way there, his leg couldn't hold him anymore and he fell to the ground on his knees. Setherian stopped what he was doing and helped his brother to his feet.

-Roman, you ran all the way here, you know you shouldn't do that.

-I know, I'm a wreck who can barely walk.

-Don't say that, brother.

Setherian helped him to the couch and said.

-Someday I'll find a way to cure your injury and you'll be able to walk without any trouble.

-You know that's impossible Seth.

-I will make it possible, just give me a little more time, trust me.

During the war Romano had met King Quin on the battlefield, he had almost torn off Romano's leg, if it had not been for Setherian, who had confronted King Quin, he would have died at the hands of that demon. The severity of his wound had been such, that even when he had used healing magic the damage remained, since that day the pain accompanied him day and night, he also had many difficulties to walk. Roman seeing his brother so dejected said to him.

-It's okay Seth, I trust you.
