Rebecca ended up falling asleep as the maid never came back, apparently she wasn't going to have her three meals in this place either, she sighed with great regret and asked herself
-When will it be time for me to eat all I want?- She stroked her stomach and spoke to him, -stomach why do you always why do they always have to punish you like this, I'd rather have a beating if it will get me my three meals.
Knock knock, the sound of the door being knocked made Rebecca rejoice, maybe it was time for her first meal.
her first meal.-I hope you brought the fruit basket I asked for.
Rebecca spoke again to her stomach, which was growling with hunger,- Easy stomach, it's finally time to eat.
Rebecca got out of bed and opened the door, the maid who had not brought her food was in front of the door, she was empty-handed."I guess I'm not entitled to a single meal in this place, they're not thinking of starving me to death, are they?" thought Rebecca as she frowned.
-Where's my food? Why haven't you brought it yet?- Asked Rebecca.
-I'm sorry, I forgot-, lied the maid shamelessly.
-Then go and get it immediately.
-It won't be necessary, her majesty is waiting for you for dinner.
Rebecca's eyes lit up, the maid thought it was because she was going to dine with the king, but in reality
that was the least of Rebecca's concern, all she wanted was to have a good meal, she didn't care if it was in a stable or with a man who looked like he was killing her with his eyes every time he saw her, all she cared about was filling her stomach with a good meal. The maid led Rebecca to the royal dining room where his majesty the king was waiting for her.
When Setherian saw her coming she looked like he wanted to throw the knife he was holding in her hand at her and pass through her head, anyone would have trembled with fear at that look, however, Rebecca didn't even, she had not even paid attention to the king's gaze, the food on the table had captured all of her
attention from her. She took her place at the table, joined the king, and immediately took a spoonful of the soup. He had it in front of her and put it in her mouth.
The king looked at her with contempt and said:
-Apparently King Quin did not educate the princess properly, her manners are horrendous.
The king was right about Rebecca's manners, he had never received any education so didn't feel offended at all and she continued eating her soup. She finished it all and then continued with the meat, then with the fish, she left the plates completely clean, Setherian had the impression of that she had not been fed in years, she ate as if it were her last meal.
Rebecca tried everything on the table, there were things that she had never tried in her life like the lamb meat, she was so happy about all the food she had been able to eat that she almost cried from the happiness.Setherian reached out her hand to touch Rebecca's curly hair, it was all messy already that she had been sleeping, when she felt her hand touching her hair she was completely shocked, she wondered if the king would kill her at that moment, she closed her eyes and thought "at least he let me have a good dinner before killing me".
-If it weren't for the color of your hair, I would think you were a street beggar-, the king spoke with the voice loaded with contempt.
Rebecca opened her eyes as she felt him remove his hand from her and thought, "Apparently he didn't want to kill me, he just wanted to check that my hair was real and not dyed."Rebecca didn't say anything, from experience she knew that when a man was angry it was best to stay silent, not say anything to make him even more angry since with that she only made her they will punish.
When she lived at Baldoyle Palace and the butler who came from time to time to her visit her to check if she had already died, he punished her without food for two whole days, in
sometimes it was up to three days in a row of fasting. From that moment on she Rebecca had decided that the best thing was to stay silent and listen to the scoldings without replying.
The king got up upset and said:
-Go back to your room, seeing you makes my stomach turn.
Rebecca had already eaten her fill, although she hadn't had the chance to try dessert, she nodded and got up from the table.
When she returned to her room Rebecca asked the maid to help her take off her dress, but she claimed that he was busy and quickly left. Rebecca sighed deeply, how was she going to do to take off her dress, while she was thinking about how to take it off, the king entered soon to the room, she looked at him with bewilderment wondering what she was doing there if she only did a few minutes she had told him to leave because she didn't want to see her face. "It's true, this is our first wedding night" - thought Rebecca, that explained what the king was doing there.
-You're still wearing that stupid dress, it's ridiculous that you pretend to be a bride since this whole wedding is not
more than a farce-, the king laughed bitterly.
-I will never treat you like my wife, I will never touch your disgusting body, who knows how many men you will have been before me, listen to me carefully princess Rebecca, you will never have my heart, not even a place in my bed and from this day onwards try not to cross my path, because if you do I may lose your temper and end up killing you.
After saying everything she wanted without giving her a chance to speak, Setherian left the room slamming the door tightly. Rebecca knew that the king hated her although she never imagined he hated her so much.
-Apparently I'm not welcome in this place either, I just hope they don't make me starve, I can with everything but that.
