Rebecca was very happy to be able to sleep in her little house again, when her magic class was over she went to look for Romano, she wanted to be with her little fox that Romano had promised to take care of since these days she would have time to take care of him.
Romano was in the garden, Rebecca went to approach him when the little fox that was with Romano ran to her, Rebecca took him in her arms, caressed him and told him.
-I have missed you too little one, hello Romano.
-Hi Rebecca, I'm glad we found each other, I was just coming to look for you.
-Me?
-Yes, I wanted to take your pet to see you, I think he misses you.
-Thank you so much for taking care of him.
-Don't worry about it.
-His majesty will be away for a few days as he must go to inspect the kingdom, during those days I will be able to return to my house so I will have him with me for a few days, I hope to count on you afterwards to take care of him.
-Of course.
-Thank you very much.
The days that Setherian was away Rebecca felt that she had freedom again, she went to her magic classes during the day and in the afternoons she worked in her orchard, although doing that was tiring for Rebecca that was better than living in the palace, there she could see the blue sky, feel the warm rays of sun touching her skin, she could feel free, she had lived all her life locked up and although she knew it was only something temporary, she was glad to have had those few days of freedom.
Rebecca was in her magic class, Fergal had told her to try to feel his magic, when he told her that, she couldn't help but laugh and said.
-How do you want me to feel something I don't have?
-Try it and stop talking back, princess.
-Okay, what do I have to do?
-You must close your eyes, look deep inside and try to feel its magic.
Rebecca did as Fergal told her, even though she knew it was useless she tried her best as she had promised. She searched deep inside herself trying to find her magic, she dug deep inside herself, she saw a small light and wondered if that would be her magic, she tried to touch it but it disappeared and with it her consciousness.
Fergal watched the princess, she began to shine, it was a warm light that made him feel calm and flooded him with peace, but he could also feel how it annulled his magic, that only lasted a few seconds, she fainted and fell to the ground. That day Rebecca was unconscious during the whole afternoon, when she opened her eyes she was in an unknown room, next to her was Romano.
-Are you all right?- He asked her.
-What happened to me? What am I doing here?
Fergal approached her and said.
-You passed out in the middle of class, what's the last thing you remember?
Rebecca tried to recall but couldn't remember.
-I think it was when he told me to close my eyes and try to feel my magic, after that, I don't know what happened- she said.
-I see- Fergal said.
-Did I do something strange?
-No, you just fainted, you haven't eaten, I'll ask them to bring you something light to eat.
-Thank you.
When Fergal went out, Romano passed the little fox to Rebecca and said.
-As I didn't know if you would wake up today, I went to get your pet.
-Thank you very much- said Rebecca as she stroked the fox's head.
-You must be tired, I'll leave you to rest.
-See you tomorrow.
Romano found Fergal in the hallway and asked him.
-What happened to the princess?
-She just fainted.
-I don't think it was just that after hearing what you asked the princess.
-I must go check on the princess, I'll see you later prince.
Roman knew that Fergal was Setherian's faithful dog, no matter how much he insisted Fergal would not tell him anything, if he wanted to know what had happened he had to wait for Setherian to return, because he would be the only one Fergal would tell exactly what had happened.
After that day Fergal stopped his lessons until the king was back, Rebecca was perfectly well and was happy to have time to herself and not have to go to the palace. But since she had returned home she felt as if someone was watching her, she thought it was her imagination and stopped thinking about it.
Setherian's inspection had taken longer than he had thought, after eight days he returned to the palace, when he arrived the first thing he did was to send for Fergal as he had sent him a message that he needed to speak to him when he returned, Setherian was a little worried, he wondered if it was about the princess.
When Fergal entered Setherian's office the first thing the king did was ask.
-Did something happen with the princess?
Fergal nodded his head.
-That's right, that's why I wanted to talk to you.
-What happened?
-A few days ago the princess's magic awoke.
-That's good news- said Setherian.
-I'm not sure about that, her magic woke up just for an instant, her magic is truly fascinating, now I understand why some people consider them saints, her magic reached me, it's very different from any other magic I've ever known, it instilled peace, tranquility and it blocked my magic for a whole day.
-So it was true, their magic nullifies other magics.
-More than nullifying them I think it blocks them making you unable to access your magic.
-She can heal Romano, we must ask her to do it.
-Wait, I told you that her magic only woke up for a moment, then she fainted, when she woke up she didn't remember anything, it's as if her magic blocked her memories too, I think that's why she's not aware that she has magic.
-That's strange.
-Yes, that's why I've cancelled our classes, I need to borrow that book again and all the books you have on that.
-Here you go- Setherian pulled the book he had lent her earlier from one of his desk drawers and handed it to her.
-Can I take it with me this time?- Fergal asked.
-No, stay in my office until you're done.
Setherian walked towards the door, before leaving Fergal asked him.
-Where are you going?
-I'm going to see my wife.
