“Hey...” halata sa mukha ni Nicholai na malungkot siya at pagod. Tinitigan niya ako parang binabasa ang emosyon ko. Ako rin ay ganun. Pero hindi nagtagal ay niyakap ko rin siya. “I love you.” sabi ko. Niyakap niya rin ako ng mahigpit. “I love you more.” aniya at hinalikan ang noo ko.
“Pasensya ka na talaga kahapon—” i hush him by putting my finger on his lips. Natigilan din siya at napatitig sa akin. Sobrang ganda talaga ng mata niya. “I really love your eyes, Nicholai.” i couldn't help but to say almost whisper.
“I love yours too...” he said and move his head towards mine. Is he gonna kiss me...? I close my eyes as his lips almost touch mine. “Nic, may paparating.” sabi ni Kris, na nagbabantay sa kung may dadaan. Agad akong napalayo kay Nicholai. That was near.
Inayos ko ang sarili ko at dumistansya ng kunti kay Nicholai. May dumaan na mga taga ibang section. “I'm really sorry about yesterday, baby. Promise, if something urgent came up i will message you immediately.” i nod and held his hand.
“Don’t worry about a thing, okay? I’m sorry as well.” he held my cheeks.
“Naiintindihan kita, ganun din ang gagawin ko pag ako ang nasa posisyon mo. Sabay tayo mamayang lunch ha? Ako ang susundo sa‘yo.” i nod and smile. He kiss my forehead again, making me close my eyes. He also kiss my cheeks and nose and the side of my lips making me stop breathing.
“I love you. Aalis na ako, kita tayo mamayang lunch.” i nod.
“Okay, see you.” pumasok na agad kami ni Kris sa loob ng classroom. “Thank you, Kris.” she winked at me. “No hassle.” i smile at her.
LUNCH came at sinundo ako ni Nicholai kagaya nang sinabi niya. Sinabi niya na sabay kami mag-l-lunch, like literally just the two of us at mabuti nalang at naintindihan nang mga kaibigan ko. Super bait nila at sobrang saya ko dahil nakilala ko sila. Masasabi kong sobrang gaan na ng loob ko sa kanila.
“Saan tayo mag-l-lunch?” tanong ko ‘kay Nicholai habang naglalakad ka pababa ng hagdan. “A place where i almost couldn't stop myself to admit what i truly felt for you.” agad namang uminit ang pisngi ko.
“S-saan ba ‘yan?” tanong ko while trying my hardest to stop myself from smiling. He just held my hand and pull me to a place who have a special place in my heart. The forest.
“B-but, we don't have any foods—”
“I got it.” he said as we enter the forest. Dinala niya ako sa kung saan banda kami unang nag usap na muntik na nga naming aminin ang aming feelings para sa isa’t isa.
“I’ll put a blindfold on you first and you have to trust me.” he said. “I look at him. I always trust you.” he smile at me before putting a blindfold on my eyes. “Wait for a minute, this will be quick.” i nod.
After a minute. “I’ll take it off now.” he said near my ears, almost a whisper making me shiver slightly. He took the blindfold off and my mouth hang when i saw a blanket with three lunch boxes with foods that has cute designs, 1 litter of our favourite C2, fruits and a book with flowers on top of it. It looks so beautiful and romantic. I love it!
“This looks so perfect. I love you so much, Nicholai. This is the best surprise ever. Thank you so much for this.” i almost cried as i say how happy and grateful i am for his effort.
“I love you and you deserve this. You deserve the best things in life.” he said. Let's eat now? I cooked these for you.” he said.
“Yeah, i can tell.” i said. He kiss me on my forehead before making me sit on the blanket. I watch the leaves as it dances because of the wind.
“Thank you for doing this really, Nicholai. I will forever treasure this in my heart.” he held my hand. “At ganun din ako.”
We eat lunch and talk about everything. “I still can't believe this.” i said, while leaning on his shoulder. “What do you mean?” he ask me. Inayos ko ang ulo ko at tumingin sa kanya at ganun din ang ginawa niya. “I can't believe that you’re actually mine now. Kasi dati, hanggang tingin lang ako sa‘yo. Naalala ko nga one time noong grade six tayo at nag igib ako ng tubig ng maaga sobra mo akong napasaya dahil nag ‘good morning’ ka sa akin at tinanong mo kung nasagot ko na ba ‘yung assignments na ‘tin ta’s noong papunta tayong school, sinabi mo pa walang kapang girlfriend, naalala ko no’ng mga oras na ‘yon ay inisip ko na sana wala pa para naman ‘di ako masaktan.” he sigh.
“I wish i would’ve told you then.” he said. Umiling ako. “Kung sinabi mo ta’s matagal tayong nagkita sa tingin mo ba mag wo-work tayo for ldr?” he nod. “Of course, why not? Mahal kita, mahal mo ako. Bakit naman hindi?” tumawa ako ng bahagya. “Tama nga naman.” sabi ko.
“I’m really for avoiding you on social media before.” he nod. “Dapat lang, binaliw mo kaya ako.” sabi niya in a cute voice kaya naman natawa ako. “Sorry aking mahal na mahal na baby.” he smile.
“I love you so much.” he said. Wala akong sinagot kundi ang halik sa kanyang pisngi. Nakita ko ang pagpula nang kanyang tenga. “Awe, kinikilig ang aking, baby Nicholai.” sabi ko at pinisil ang kanyang pisngi pero nagulat ako ng bigla niyang hinawakan ang aking pisngi at hinalikan ako sa labi. My eyes widen.
“Who’s blushing now?” he said and stood up. Ako naman na ayaw mapahiya ay tumayo rin at akmang hahawakan siya ng bigla siyang tumakbo.
“Nicholai! Come back here!” he just laugh while looking at me running after him. We spend our free time eating, resting, and running.
Bumalik kami sa kanya kanyang classroom namin at exactly twelve fifty. ‘Di naman mawala sa labi ko ang matatamis na ngiti. “Uy, ang ganda ng ngiti niya. Siguro may surprised sayo ‘yong baby mo kanina ‘no?” tanong ni Sheila. Syempre, tumango ako.
“Sana all.” sabi niya na ikinatawa ko lang.
