Checking in

Aaron clocks out ten minutes early and meets Lucy at the hospital.
Aaron: hey, is he awake?
Lucy: yeah, the doctors are checking him but after they're done we should be able to go in.
Aaron: alright well, do you want snacks or a drink while we wait?
Lucy: coffee and maybe crackers wouldn't hurt.
Aaron: coming up.
Aaron goes to the vending machine to buy snacks and drinks for him and Lucy.
Aaron: ok I'm back here's yours
Lucy: thanks
Aaron: yeah no problem.
As they chat for about 5 minutes, Aaron spots Barnes and invites her to sit with them.
Aaron: hey, Barnes right?
B: yeah, hello!
Aaron: wanna come sit with us? We're waiting on Tim to get out!
B: yeah sure, I was here visiting him anyways.
They all sit together and chat for about 15 minutes before the docs are done with Tim.
Doc: ok he's ready.
Lucy: thanks so much doc.
Doc: for what? Doing my job?
Lucy giggles and they all go in to greet Tim.
"Hello!" They all say.
T: Hey guys. Tim says in a weak voice.
Aaron: hey man good to see you alive. Can I get you anything, drink or food?
T: a water wouldn't kill, if that's ok.
Aaron: yeahh no problem, I'll leave you with Lucy and the boot.
Aaron leaves the room to go get Tim's water.
Lucy: I thought I was going to lose you. Lucy said in a teary voice.
T: you don't have to worry about me, sorry I missed dinner.
Lucy: don't worry about that, we can do it once you're good and ready again, hell even if it's at a food truck I don't care.
T: good, cause I was going to take you to one anyways.
They both giggle.
T: Heyy boot
B: hello sir. Good to see you again.
T: how was Nyla, now that I was gone?
B: She was alright, sir. Seemed pretty nice and maybe a bit scary.
T: she can give that vibe. Tim giggles quietly.
T: well when can I go?
Lucy: tomorrow morning at 5 am, once the doc lets you go.
T: alright that's good, at least I'll be back tomorrow.
Lucy: yeah.. Lucy said in a big smile.
T: something wrong Lucy?
Lucy: no nothing it's just that, when you and Aaron were both wheeled in, I thought I would lose you both.
T: you never have to worry about that. I'm always careful. Even when it doesn't seem like it.
T: where's Rachael?
Lucy: she came by earlier but you were still in a coma. She said she'll be back around 11 pm when she gets off work. Also, she's going to have a personal talk. Idk what it's about but that's all she told me.
T: alright well, thanks for the heads up.
Lucy: no problem. Lucy said smiling
T: I don't like that smile.
Lucy: what?? This is my smile though!
T: it seems like you're planning something.
Lucy: this is my smile, if you're reading into it that's your problem. Lucy said at this point giggling.
T: it's literally almost 10:30, you guys should go home now.
L: alright then, but I'll be back tomorrow, or I'll see you tomorrow. You know what we'll see.
