Better than ever

After an hour of Lucy taking a shower and getting changed, she heads towards Jackson's house.
J: Heyy you took forever! Jackson says in a playful tone.
L: no I did not, I only took an hour lmao
J: more like a year.
They both chuckle.
J: come in, I already ordered and bought a bunch of pizza!
L: ooo may be to much for me
J: fine with me, leaves more for me.
Lucy giggles.
J: anyways, I already have everything set up, we just figure what we want to watch.
L: sounds like a plan
J: I also set up the guest bedroom in case you're too tired to drive.
L: I appreciate that. How did you do this much in an hour though?
J: Do you mean a year?
Lucy playfully hits his arm.
Lucy and Jackson make their way towards the couch, ready to watch and demolish the food.
J: so what do you wanna watch?
L: hmm, idk yet honestly.
Maybe true crime?
J: I like your style.
They both chuckle.
Jackson puts on true crime and they start watching while eating, eventually 2 hours pass by.
L: damn it's already 12 o' clock?
Jackson pulls out his phone to confirm.
J: shit yeah, we better get some sleep while we still can.
L: alright, I'll head towards my room, you have a good night Jackson.
J: you too Lucy.
The next morning, around 7 a.m. Lucy and Jackson wake up early, having a bad stomach from eating so much last night.
L: shit man, it definitely wasn't a good idea to eat that much.
J: yeah fuck my stomach hurts so bad.
L: should we call out?
J: no no. We might as well try and shake it off.
L: yeah I guess you're right. I'll try but if I can't then we might as well take non- physical calls today.
J: we always do, shift is boring I honestly expected more as a cop now.
L: you're right. Today will be easy!
J: yeah but for now we gotta get dressed and take showers cause we didn't take one.
L: uhh idk if you don't remember but I did already.
J: oh yeahh right lmao I forgot so I'll take one and then we head out?
L: well I'm already heading out but I'll see you at the station.
J: alright then see ya
Lucy walks out the door, going towards the station while Jackson is taking a shower.
Lucy entered the station half an hour later, only to see Jackson there.
L: hey how did you get here so fast?? I took almost 30 minutes!
J: umm idk, maybe because my house is like 3 minutes from here??
Lucy giggles.
L: oh right lmao
Lucy goes and changes into her uniform, then roll call begins.
Grey: Chen you're 8 seconds late.
L: I know sorry sarge it won't happen again.
Grey: Save it. Just don't let it happen again.
"Damn what's up with sarge today he's not normally angry?" Lucy thought to herself.
Grey: anyways, someone new into the field. Everyone welcome detective Lopez. Lopez stand up.
A: hey everyone! It's all good to meet you. My names Angela Lopez and I've been a detective for almost 3 years now. I've worked some pretty badass cases so maybe you have heard of me.
Grey: I also want everyone to welcome Officer Juarez, having graduated from the academy.
Juarez, introduce yourself and state your name and badge number.
C: hello, I'm Celina Juarez badge number 53397.
Grey: you've earned the right to be in this room, but you must prove yourself to stay.
Protocol and tradition are the medal for which every cop in this city is forged too.
Sit down now.
Anyways, nothing new other than the fact to be safe out there.
Oh and I almost forgot, your training officer is officer Aaron Thorsen. Stand up Thorsen.
A: hello, nice to meet you. I'll be your training officer for until you graduate to P2, do you understand?
C: yes sir.
A: good.
Oh sir, one more thing before you walk out of here?
Grey: yeah?
A: how long will I be her T.O before you assign a new one?
Grey: what do you mean?
A: well y'know I've always wanted to join SWAT, and I've worked my ass off and now I'm in the position to do the test.
Grey: yeahh um about that.. I've extended your time as a T.O to finish completing Juarez's Training.
A: But.. sir?
Grey: But what, Aaron?
Silence erupts.
A: nothing, never mind sir.
Lucy and Celina over hear this, but theirs nothing they can do. Lucy feels bad for Aaron but can't do anything and Celina just stands there.
C: I'm so sorry about that, Sir.
A: Save it Juarez.
