Enemies to friends

The next morning,Lucy wakes up at 10 am so she can take a quick shower, brush her teeth, eat breakfast, and get dressed. By the time she finishes, it is now 11:40 am, she has 20 minutes left to spare until she can go in for work.
So, Lucy pulls out her phone to text Tim.
"Heyy, look I know we haven't been on the best terms but I was wondering if I could talk with you about something later, before roll call."
"What? Why? Since when do you even feel like talking to me??"
"Look, please can we just talk later?"
"Fine, but you better not get bitchy with me."
And with that, it is now 12 pm and Lucy leaves for work.
Once she goes in, she looks for Tim. Which he is sitting in his office by himself.
Lucy knocks on the door and Tim tells her to come in.
"Hey umm can I finally talk to you?"
"You've got 3 minutes"
"Look, I know we haven't been on the best terms for a while, but I hate coming in every day knowing I have to work with someone I dislike. And for every day, we have to see each other, so we might as well get along and get to know each other because as long as we are both in this station, we are stuck with each other."
Tim looks surprised, wondering what brought this on.
But he doesn't say anything, he just agrees.
"Yeah Lucy, you're right. We might as well get along."
They shake hands and are now officially friends.
Now it is time for roll call and this time, Lucy can actually focus without getting distracted by day dreams.
After roll call ends, Aaron walks up to Lucy.
"Hey, how did it go?"
"It went great, we are now friends."
"That's awesome. I'm happy for you"
Aaron walks off to get the shop prepared and all the gear ready. But Lucy grabs his attention.
"Hey Aaron?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for the advice, you're a great friend."
Aaron smiles, "you're welcome Lucy."
They go out on shift, which as usual felt pretty boring. But for once, this shift was special. Lucy had finally befriended Tim. Lucy and Aaron were in a great place as besties.
The boredom made up for the shift because Aaron and Lucy just chatted the entire 8 hour shift.
Finally, it was 8 pm and time to clock out. Lucy and Aaron go back to the station to clock out and turn in their gear. Before Lucy and reach her car, Tim comes out of the dark and surprises her.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."
"No problem, did you want something?"
"Yeah umm did you want to get dinner sometime? Not as a date but just as friends.. to get to know each other more??" Tim said a bit embarrassed.
"Uhh yeah sure. For when and what time?"
" I was thinking Saturday after shift so at 9 pm?? Is that ok?"
"Yeah, that's great, I'll see you then!"
"Me too"
Lucy was so happy, she didn't really care if it was a date or not, she was just happy Tim actually invited her to dinner.
Lucy was in a very great place. Maybe her and Tim could be a thing a bit faster than she expected.."
