Admitting feelings

(SHORT PART)

Backup arrives and they all get out and start shooting back.
Lucy takes out 2 of their lookouts and just as another lookout is creeping up on Lucy Aaron's grabs the strength to pick up his weapon and shoot em.
Eventually when the situation gets more out of control, SWAT arrives.
Lucy takes Aaron to the hospital once SWAT controls the situation and arrests all of the dealers and men.
Aaron and Lucy stay in the hospital for the rest of shift because the doctors take forever to clear Aaron.
After Aaron gets cleared they both head to Aaron's house to study for the exams they have.
The next morning arrives with Lucy having slept in Aaron's guest bedroom and Aaron in his room. They get up and shower and study for a bit before they go out.
Aaron: hey umm, after shift I was wondering if I can talk to you?
Lucy: yeah sure I mean I can come back here anyways, right?
Aaron: yeah!
Anyways, their entire shift goes by pretty fast and boring but they're done now and Aaron goes to talk with Lucy after they clock out.
Aaron: Hey Lucy? Aaron's goes up to her outside next to her car.
Lucy: yeah? You said you wanted to talk right?
Aaron: yeah umm...
Aaron struggles to say his words making him feel nervous.
Finally, Aaron gains balls and just says it all at once.
Aaron: I like you,ok? ever since the day we became friends, I have gotten to know you so much more. Which only boosted my feelings for you. And I know you like Bradford but it's been bothering me for the past 2 days when we accidentally slept together! And I couldn't handle just keeping it to myself, which has been only causing me stress!
Lucy looks at Aaron with a blank stare, Shocked. which causes Aaron to be a bit weirded out by this.
Aaron: look uhh, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Just umm please let me know how you feel back.
Aaron goes towards his car, leaving Lucy there shocked. She can't believe her best friend just admitted his feelings like that. She wasn't expecting it. She goes into her car and goes to her apartment for the night and thinks about what Aaron just told her.
I mean, Aaron has been there for her when no one else was, so she might as well give him a chance, right? Or maybe not?
She overthinks it and becomes a bit overwhelmed.
She decides to think about it and then let Aaron know about her decision and her thoughts tomorrow morning.
