Another day in the shift

Around 12:15 pm (after roll call)
Aaron: Heyy sooo you got any plans with Tim??
Lucy: yeah umm he's actually taking me to dinner!
Aaron: uh huh, is it like a date or just "dinner"?
Lucy: what? No! It's just dinner plus he's still dating Rachael.
Aaron: didn't you say you like him?
Lucy: yeah but I'm not gonna get him to cheat on his girlfriend for me..
Aaron: alright then. Well you ready to go out then?
Lucy: yeah I just need to use the restroom real quick.
Aaron: alright I'll meet you in the shop
Lucy quickly goes to her business in the restroom and then gets in the shop.
They drive around for 2 minutes then they spot 4 robbers attempting to rob a diamond district.
Lucy: "7-Adam-7, 2-11 in progress 4 shooters on sight. Please send backup and airship code 2"
Copy that 7-Adam-7.
Lucy and Aaron manage to stop 1 shooter, being the lookout. But the other men must of quickly robbed all the diamonds because they were back out. As Aaron and Lucy are putting the 1st suspect in the shop. The 3 others spot them and start shooting.
Lucy and Aaron put up a good fight but unfortunately Aaron gets shot in the leg.
Aaron: Ahhh he shot my leg!
Lucy: "7-Adam-7 officer down I need backup immediately!"
Lucy drags Aaron behind the shop, trying to aid Aaron but keeps shooting at the same time.
Eventually and right on time, backup arrives. And it's Tim and Barnes.
Barnes manages to shoot a robbers leg and Tim shoots another in the chest. Only 1 remains.
But the first shooter is quick to give up, or at least they think. While Tim is starting to go up to the last shooter, clearly distracted, the shooter has a backup pistol in his back pockets and quickly whips it out and shoots Tim in his upper chest. Tim reacts and shoots back but ultimately, he goes down.
Aaron and Tim are quickly taken to the hospital where they both go into the operating room.
Lucy starts to tear up but Jackson is there to calm her down. Lucy stays in the hospital for 1 hour and Aaron gets set up in a room.
Doc: everything went well nothing life threatening he'll be allowed to go home in about 2 days.
Lucy: ok thanks doc
After 10 minutes Aaron wakes up and Lucy goes to hug him very tight
Lucy: I'm so glad you're ok, I thought I would lose you.
Aaron: You don't have to worry about me, but I appreciate it.
Lucy: of course I am, you're my best friend.
Aaron smiles.
They chat for about 15 minutes then the doc comes in with some news.
Doc: hey so something happened on the operating table with officer Bradford and he ended up going into a short coma, no worries though, the operation was once again successful and he should be back awake in about 2 weeks since the injury wasn't that bad.
Lucy: oh shit, ok thanks doc.
Aaron: guess you're missing dinner
Lucy: yeah, I guess..
Aaron: are you ok?
Lucy: yeah umm.. I was just caught off guard but I'm fine.
Aaron: ok then, shift is almost over so why don't you go back and clock out, take the night and I'll call you in the morning.
Lucy: sounds good and pleaseeee let me know if Tim wakes up early or once he's awake again.
Aaron: promise.
Lucy leaves the hospital and goes back to the station to clock out, she can't sleep because she spends the night thinking about Tim and his coma, and concerned about Aaron.
She stays awake all night and is very tired once it's time to get up so she calls grey and asks if she can take maybe a week or two off.
And now that Lucy is a P2, she is now able to take work off so grey accepts her 1 week "vacation".
