Complications

The next morning around 9 am, early in the morning Lucy gets up early because the thought of her and Aaron being a "thing" bothered her.
She liked Aaron fine but just as a friend and nothing more. Although Aaron seems like a sweet young man, him and Lucy are just not meant together.
She finally settles on what decision she wants and all she has to do if figure what to say to Aaron but not in a way that will hurt him.
She settles on what she's going to say and goes in for work.
She first clocks in and then goes around the station to find Aaron, it doesn't take her long as she finds Aaron out in the parking lot inside of his car. Playing Dungeons and Dragons.
As Lucy gets inside, Aaron turns off his phone and puts it in his pocket.
Aaron: Heyy umm.. have you uh...
Lucy: Thought about it?
Aaron: yeah?
Lucy: Look Aaron, I appreciate you and I always will, you have been there for me when no one else was..
You're my best friend and everything but that's the only way I see you. I don't see you as being my lover, as me already setting my heart on Tim.
I hope you understand..
Aaron just stays silent for a few, but ultimately owns up to it.
Aaron: yeah umm, I understand. I appreciate the honesty.
Lucy: yeah.. look I'll give you some space. But I'll see you during shift?
Aaron: yeah..
Lucy gets out of the car leaving Aaron there baffled.
Aaron is super embarrassed and a bit emotional after that, he gets out of the car and goes into work.
Before roll call starts, Aaron requests he be put on desk duty for the remainder of the day.
Grey approves it and goes into roll call to start the day off.
Roll call goes by quick with grey not having to say much. After roll call ends, Lucy goes to find Aaron but can't. She goes into Grey's office to ask about him.
Lucy: Hey sarge, I can't find Aaron, do you by chance know where he is?
Grey: yeah he's on desk duty.
Lucy: Why?
Grey: I don't know, just before roll call he had requested to be out on the desk. Since Aaron is out, you'll be paired with Jackson until further notice.
Lucy: oh, alright. Thanks sarge.
Lucy goes out of Grey's office, knowing damn well the reason as to why Aaron didn't want to ride with her today.
Lucy goes to find Jackson and finds him hanging out in the break room, grabbing some morning coffee.
Lucy: Hey Jackson, Aaron bailed. Sarge said I'll be riding with you today.
J: alright, let me finish this cup and we'll go out.
Lucy: alright.
Jackson takes about 2-3 minutes to finish his cup of coffee but then him and Lucy go out on patrol.
