As Takemichi's eyes fluttered open, he found himself immersed in the scene of a bowling ball delivering a perfect strike, effortlessly toppling all the skittles.
" Strike !". Hinata's cheer resonated in the air.
Confusion briefly clouded Takemichi's vision until he registered that he was now inside a bowling alley, with Hinata standing behind him. A blush crept onto his cheeks, amplified when Hinata rose, her infectious smile widening as she clapped his hands.
" That was awesome, Takemichi-kun ! You got a turkey !". Hinata exclaimed with genuine delight.
" Uh... Yeah". Takemichi replied, still trying to process the sudden shift in his surroundings.
Hinata continued," I totally suck at this".
Takemichi felt a surge of emotion, tears welling up in his eyes. He turned away, shielding Hinata from witnessing the overwhelming mix of relief and joy he felt, having returned from a bleak timeline.
" What's wrong ?". Hinata wondered as she reached for the bowling ball.
" Nothing at all". Takemichi hastily responded, wiping away his tears.
Facing Hinata again, he watched her gracefully approach the lane, gently releasing the bowling ball with a soft mutter of encouragement.
" Go !". Hinata whispered.
Takemichi marveled at Hinata's cuteness, but the bowling ball ended up in the gutter, dampening her spirits.
" Aw man... went in the gutter again. Your turn, Takemichi-kun". Hinata said, still smiling.
Determination glinted in Takemichi's eyes as he took the bowling ball, announcing," Watch this, Hina. My fourth strike in a row !".
He mimicked the posture, bending down and flexing his leg before unleashing the ball. To his surprise, a boy beside him executed the same moves, achieving a perfect strike.
" Wowie !". Hinata exclaimed with sparkling eyes.
" Oh ?! We both got strikes... We were totally in sync". The boy remarked, sharing an approving smile.
" Not bad". The girl beside him chimed in.
" You two did a good job". Amalie stated.
Takemichi widened his eyes as he noticed Amalie's presence," Amalie-chan ! You're here !".
Amalie sweatdropped," Yeah, just arrived now".
" Huh ?! I thought I'd seen you somewhere before. You're Takemichi Hanagaki !". The boy identified.
Takemichi was taken aback that a stranger knew his name.
" Oh, c'mon... making Captain hasn't gone to your head, has it ?". The boy teased.
