Their parents were best friends but not on a personal level.
It was mere business, it was simply a business deal.

Lee Chan stood at the Alter saying "I do" to this complete stranger just for a business deal his father set up.
His father's words kept ringing in the back of his mind the entire day "You're nothing but a liability, this is the only thing you can do to keep your face and your family's name"
He sighed and faked a smile, he glanced over at the guests and didn't recognize anyone. They were all businessmen with fancy suits and fake intentions ... his wedding day was nothing but a show.

His mother was attending to her guests more than to her son, his father? Probably in some corner with some influential business man making some sort of a new deal. The only friendly face he had was his older brother

"Congratulations Chan"

"Thanks Cheol" he smiled a little and felt his brother gently patting his head and soon brought him closer for a tight hug.
Seungcheol could feel his little brother writhing in his arms "I'm sorry Chan" they stayed like that for a bit
"Don't worry about it Cheol, it's not your fault"

"It's not your fault either, you don't deserve this" Seungcheol sounded broken, his grip tightening around his brother's petite figure and bringing him closer.

Chan closed his eyes trying to shake the unsettling feeling away and taking in his older brother's scent, he sighed "It's the least I can do, I'll be just fine"
Seungcheol broke the hug and stared into his little brother's face "I'll be here for you whenever you need me okay? Jeonghan too"

Chan glanced over behind his brother's broad shoulders and landed on his brother in law looking gorgeous like always, he scoffed "Does he have to be this pretty on my wedding? He's steeling my thunder" Seungcheol chuckled hugging his brother once again "You'll be just fine, you're too annoying to be around anyways, you probably will just scare him away all the time"

Chan chuckled "Yeah probably" he felt like crying but held his tears, he needs to be strong, for his sake and for his family's sake. This business deal was in a form of a wedding and a huge, if not the biggest company Merge in the history of the country.

Chan was forced into it, he had no intentions of marring the guy but his ruthless father made him. Chan wasn't at all the business person his father wanted him to be, he was much softer and more humble, his family's money never ruined him or influenced him and he just lived a simple life. Seungcheol was more hands on since childhood, he followed his father's footsteps when he majored in business, it wasn't his first choice either but he was good enough to graduate and lucky enough to meet the love of his life during a business meeting with an influential cosmetics company owner.

Unlike Chan, Seungcheol actually wanted his wedding to happen. He fell head over heels for the pretty boy and tried every cliche trick in the book to get him. Their parents weren't against it because they knew that this will only strengthen their business relationship which wasn't neither Seungcheol or Jeonghan's intentions but it worked in their favor.

In Chan's case, he only met the guy for a couple of hours during the meeting with both their parents in the room.

Chan eyed him a little bit, he was too shy so he kept averting his gaze around. He was handsome to say the least with sharp eyes, he definitely looked like a dependable person and a very professional person as well. He wasn't Chan's style per se but he didn't hate him. Of course he didn't hate him, it wasn't Eunwoo's fault either that his father used him to expend his empire.
