Meanie - Omega Verse 3

Wonwoo woke up a bit later than expected that day covered with Mingyu's scent. The marking spot a little sore on his neck but he enjoyed the way it made him feel.

"Let me see" Mingyu asked looking for the marking spot and Wonwoo chuckled
"I'm fine I promise"

The Alpha brushed it gently with his fingertips and Wonwoo kept scanning him as if his features were a priceless masterpiece of some kind.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm better, the soreness is gone and ... I'm super hungry"

Mingyu smiled "Jeonghan's been cooking a lot lately, since you said you liked his food, nobody is allowed to get anything from outside anymore"

Wonwoo chuckled "I'm sorry"

Mingyu leaned over to place a kiss over his forehead "Don't be, shall I get you some?"

"Yes please" ... "Can we go downstairs though?"

Mingyu was hesitant "I don't know baby you need to rest"

"I feel fine, plus it'll be nice to see everyone else, I'm tired of laying around all day"

Mingyu couldn't say no, he could never say no to Wonwoo's hooded pretty eyes.
"Sure, let me help you up"

Wonwoo slowly made it downstairs where Joshua, Seungkwan and Jeonghan were peacefully watching Tv. The living-room was cozy and warm, the perfect winter evening was set up and everyone was happy to see Wonwoo doing much better and surprisingly, Marked by Mingyu.

He was chatting softly with them when Jeonghan was heating up some food "So? Did it work?" He asked Mingyu who nodded a bit shyly

"He's better, he said it made him feel calmer and relaxed, the pain and soreness also gone"

Jeonghan was relieved "I'm glad it helped"

"But ..." Mingyu glanced over to the living room where Wonwoo was chatting happily with Seungkwan and Joshua, Minghao and Jun seemed to have joined them too "I'll have to take him back for a checkup tomorrow and it's going to happen all over again"

Jeonghan realized, it's true
Wonwoo will have to go for the treatment again and he'll be weaker again, he'll be in pain once again and the Marking might not work then

"I don't want to take him Han, it kills me that he has to go for something like this, the moment he starts feeling better, he has to go through it all over again and I don't know what to do"

Mingyu sounded frustrated, tired and deeply hurt. His Mate was suffering, his newly acquired bond and marking was not making it easier ... everything was about to get emotional and Jeonghan was worried.

"Is there a way we can talk to the doctor and give him lower doses? Maybe change the treatment all together?"

Mingyu shook his head "Do you think I didn't try already"

"I'm sorry Gyu, I ... I don't know what to say, we are here for both you and we'll make sure that he gets the best care possible"

Mingyu was thankful of course, they had to use Jeonghan father's connections to get Wonwoo the best hospital and the best treatment there was. Mingyu couldn't be more thankful to his Luna for everything he's been doing for him and for the rest of the pack for being so caring and supportive. Seungcheol, Jun and DK took on his entire work load on his behalf so he could spend time with Wonwoo and only attended important meetings or simply replying to emails or phone calls.

Wonwoo was actually doing so much better, he ate well and even asked if they could order his favorite dessert while Jeonghan made him hot cacao with marshmallows. He didn't move much from where he was sitting on the sofa and soon simply laid down as they watched a movie.
It was getting a bit late and Wonwoo was fast asleep half through the movie but Mingyu didn't move, the Omega was snuggled into him and Mingyu couldn't get himself to disturb him.
