"Soonyoung, come on, let's take a break"

Jun asked a few hours into their practice, everyone was panting and breathless having been going through the choreographies for hours now.

Soonyoung took a step back, no ... he didn't want a break, he didn't need a break ... he didn't deserve a break
He was mad

Mad at himself and mad at the world

If he paid a little bit more attention, if he was a little bit more tentative, Dino wouldn't be in a hospital room right now

Jun sighed deeply "Please" his tone said so much and his eyes spoke even more.
Minghao was silently panting, hands on his hips as he watched the scene unfolding in front of him.

Earlier that day, Dino had been complaning about how dangerous that one move Soonyoung insisted on adding to the choreography was, but the leader was stillborn saying that it was nothing but child play.

Dino eventually shrugged and decided to give it a try.

After a few tries, Dino was convinced that this was definitely not the right move for him to do and he told Soonyoung over and over again but the leader insisted that it looked perfect, that Dino was doing a great job and he actually was doing a great job ... it just, it didn't sit with him.

A few more times and Dino was getting a hang of it until ... he didn't

One wrong step and he was rolling on the floor in a quick motion.
The thud was loud and horribly painful, everyone gasped when it happened and they expected Dino to stand up soon ... but he didn't.

He was sprawled across the floor unconscious, the fall was definitely painful and realization hit Soonyoung ever so hard ... how did he let this happen?

Rushing to his side, Dino was completely out with a red sweaty face and shallow breaths, they couldn't move him as they didn't know exactly how badly injured he was.

It was the most stressful twenty minutes, nothing this intense has ever happened before. Dino wasn't waking up and it was all his fault, Hoshi blamed himself for everything. When the younger told him that he couldn't do it, when he was skeptical and not confident, he pushed him harder ... he should have listened.

The paramedics arrived and safely moved Dino into their stretched. They tried to wake him up and he so far, he was responding slowly. They could determine his exact injuries yet but so far a harsh blow on the head is at the top of their list.

Once they were gone, the entire place went dead silent. The managers went with Dino and asked the rest of them to stay put and wait.
Soonyoung was angry, he was mad at himself and currently was about the break the dance floor's walls continuously hitting them in frustration.

"Stop it, it's not your fault please stop blaming yourself" Minghao tried to be gentle but couldn't help it when their performance leader was hitting walls and kicking chairs. Jun on the other hand restrained him, he pulled him away from the mess he just made and tried to knock some sense into him

"He's fine, Dino is fine they just called us and you heard what the manager said"

"He shouldn't be there in the first place ... he told me over and over and I didn't listen, what type of a person am I?"

"A hard working one" Minghao said softly "I'm sure he knows that too, you were just trying to perfect everything"

Hoshi shook his head, the bruises on his knuckles more obvious now "I can't ... it's all my fault"

Jun sighed deeply looked at the self inflicted wounds Soonyoung just caused himself "Things happen ... accidents happen, we are a performance unit after all"

"Not like this ... no"

Minghao seemed to get emotional "I can't wait anymore" he huffed reaching for his jacket "I'm going to see him"

"Hao wait, we were asked not to go" Jun tried to stop the younger and was stuck between Hoshi hurting himself and Minghao leaving through the front door
"Shit" Jun cursed under his breaths running behind Hoshi who followed Hao outside.

Maybe Jun could get someone to check on the bruises around Soonyoung's hands after all.

Dino was laying down looking peaceful
"You are not supposed to be here" the manager announced the second he saw the trio walking in

"Can you blame us?" Minghao said confidently walking toward Dino's hospital bed

"How is he? Please tell me he's okay" Hoshi asked and dropped to his knees holding Dino's hand
"A minor concussion he'll be okay in a couple of days"

"Thank God" Jun felt relived while that wasn't enough for Soonyoung.

Soonyoung sighed deeply "That's not good either" ... "I caused this ... I did this"

"Don't be silly"

Dino's voice broke out all weak and tired but with the same enthusiasm he always had and hearing his voice only made his leader more vulnerable. Hoshi tight ed his grip around Dino's hands and apologized continuously

"I'm so sorry"

"Don't be ... please, and what happened to your knuckles?"

"He's been hitting walls and kicking objects" Minghao exposed Hoshi's secret and it only made Dino gasp

"Oh ... for me? That's so sweet"

Laughter was forced out of everyone and Hoshi let go of the younger's hand "I forget what a brat you are sometimes ... I was so worried"

"I'm what you made me so don't blame me ... and I'll be fine, stop being a drama queen"

Hoshi glared at the boy in the hospital bed and huffed loudly "You drive me crazy sometimes"

"My job and I'm nailing it"
