Jihoon had a hard time getting out of bed that morning. His muscles hurt and he felt exhausted, he rumbled under the blankets and squirmed feeling the way his eyelids burn.

The space next to him was empty ... again. He sighed, Soonyoung must have left early again, between his internship, his studies and maintaining a healthy relationship together, things have been falling apart lately.

He reached over to get his phone struggling with his teary eyes as the light from the device blinded him digging through his pounding head.

"Hi Wonwoo" his voice was dull and tired "I don't think I can make it to class today"

"Why what's wrong?" Wonwoo's voice from the end of the line sounded worried

"I'm not feeling so good" Jihoon wouldn't lie, he felt like a bulldozer was sitting on top of his chest

"Is Soonyoung there?" Wonwoo asked knowing exactly what the two have been going through recently

"No, he left already, I haven't seen him" he confessed and felt his heart sink, he missed him so much, they barely saw each other anymore, they haven't talked in a while, haven't been on a proper date? He's been desperate for his touch and attention but Soonyoung was just too busy. Jihoon understands of course, Soonyoung was focused and determined on his carrier and studies but it felt like Jihoon didn't have a spot in his life anymore.

"Do you need anything?" Wonwoo asked softly keeping in mind that Jihoon probably just needed Soonyoung right now.

"I'm just ... I'll sleep it off, I'll let you know if I need anything, you're easier to reach than Soonyoung anyways"

Wonwoo was a little silent "I'll check on you later okay? I'll bring lunch and we can talk?"

Jihoon hummed sounding tired "Humm, I'd like that, thank you Wonwoo"

"Sure, I'll see you later, try to get some rest I'll let myself in"

Wonwoo was his best friend, and even though in a relationship himself, he seemed to always find some free time to spend with Jihoon ... then how could it be that his own boyfriend couldn't?

Jihoon sighed deeply and reached over to hug the pillow next to him. The smell of Soonyoung's perfume and shower gel still lingering on it and Jihoon hugged it tightly. Feelings overtook him and needed up sobbing, wanting nothing but to be in Soonyoung's embrace to make him feel better.

He slept with the trails of tears down on his face feeling as his own muscles spasmed and his temperature was rising.

He tried to get some sleep for a while until Wonwoo finally came by as promised. He didn't hear him come in and took him a few minutes to feel the way he was trying to wake him up. Jihoon opened his eyes slightly and reached out for Wownoo, they hugged for a moment and Wonwoo could feel the way his friend was burning up

"Sonnie let's stay in today" Jihoon said weakly and Wonwoo frowned "It's Wonwoo my friend, Soonyoung is not here yet" Wonwoo was definitely worried and when Jihoon pushed him away as if confirming that this wasn't Soonyoung, he pouted and eyes teared up again "I miss him, I want him to come home"

Wonwoo nodded "I'll call him, I don't care if he can't pick up he'll just have to find a way" ... "I'll go to his stupid internship office and drag him out if I had to"

Jihoon wasn't so sure but he wasn't in his right mind right now and just wanted to see Soonyoung. He refused to eat and couldn't even pass down the cold medicine Wonwoo passed him. Jihoon was burning up and Wonwoo laid him down on his bed slowly calming him down as he reached for his phone for the tenth time and called Soonyoung again.
