Hi all!
Just to start, thank you for taking time to read my story. This has been a plot that has been brewing for quite a while now, and I finally got the courage to put it out into the world. Before you start, there are a couple things I would like to touch on.
1.) There will be some canonically differences in the stories. The first, and most prevalent, is that Roan does not get banished until after the 100 arrive for a different purpose. In the original show, he is banished years before, but for the storyline, he still remains within Ice Nation territory. Most of the other plot changes will not affect the main storyline. Just an alternate path.
2.) Astrid's story is primarily independent from the events of the TV show. There will only be a few chapters where she is amongst the 100 before it dives into her storyline. Yes, there will be a lot of overlapping with the main events, but this is her story. I hope this will provide a change, where you will a new variety of dialogue and story, instead of reading over the show. And the parts that do over line with the show, I try to keep as minimal as possible. I mean, we wouldn't be here if we didn't watch the show, right?
3.) As you would expect, there will be A LOT of violence. Our main character, Astrid, goes through some major events that both traumatize and strengthen her as a character. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. As we get into season 4 material, I will also be including some explicit sexual content 😏. Don't worry, I will make sure to mark the chapters in case people choose not, or should not (I'm looking at you underaged readers 👀) read.
4.) I do not have a specific actor, per se, that embodies Astrid. Instead, she more references a character from a book. For my Sarah J. Maas fans, picture Manon Blackbeak, except with blue eyes. Otherwise, feel free to envision her however you like!
5.) I am a pretty mediocre writer. If you are expecting some awe inspiring writing, then you might be a little disappointed. I am just doing the best I can, learning from my mistakes, and trying to provide a good story! I write for fun and to include others in the wild plots I develop during my bouts of insomnia.
