Zyleith's POV

                                  "Jealous?"

Today is the last day of filming, so I told the staff that the resort would close early. We’re also not accepting overnight stays tonight.

We’ll have a small party later at 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM, but I’m not sure if I’ll stay the whole time. I don’t really enjoy parties, even simple ones.

The weather is unbearably hot today, and it’s irritating. I can’t focus on anything I’m doing.

Damn this summer heat.

I’ve been trying to resist, but I can’t anymore—I need to cool off.

Wearing just a thin pair of shorts and a loose T-shirt, I head to the beach. I hate wearing tight clothes, especially in this heat.

As soon as I reach the shore, I slowly wade into the water.

I don’t usually like swimming at the beach, especially when there are too many people around, but today, I’ll endure it. Anything is better than feeling suffocated and irritable all day.

I paddle around and dive under the water, trying to enjoy the moment. But then, I notice people staring at me.

What the hell is their problem? Do I have something on my face? Ugh, whatever. It doesn’t matter.

After a few minutes, I spot Meg, standing near the shore, taking pictures.

So she likes capturing beautiful scenery, huh? She looks like she’s enjoying herself.

I keep watching her when, suddenly, Richard approaches her with his usual wide grin, holding a camera.

Is he planning to take pictures of Meg? Is this part of his move? Not bad. But I still don’t like it.

They seem to be having fun, and now I’m not in the mood to swim anymore. I should just get out of the water and head home.

I try to ignore them, but then Richard calls out to me.

"Hey, Solenn! Couldn’t handle the heat anymore? You look so hot." He smirks.

I glare at him. "You’re not trying to flirt with me again, are you? Gross, monkey."

He just laughs, while Meg silently watches me with an unreadable expression.

What’s with that stare? Jeez, I might melt.

"Your temper seems as hot as the weather," Richard teases. "Want something refreshing?"

This chatty monkey is really testing my patience. I should leave before I’m tempted to kick his ass—even if he is my friend.

"Whatever, Chad. Just keep making your moves," I mutter lazily before turning to leave.

---

After a quick shower, I decide to go downstairs.

When I get there, I glance around until I spot Meg and Richard sitting at the same table in the cafeteria. I order a smoothie—just as an excuse to approach them.

"Solenn! Come join us!" Richard calls out, waving me over.

I walk up to their table. "Looks like you’re done filming."

"Not yet," he says with a smile. "Just making the most of our break."

That damn smile of his is already annoying me.

"By the way, Ms. Megumi told me you two know each other," Richard adds.

I suddenly remember telling him that Meg and I aren’t close.
