"Blood is not always thicker than water"

My heart pounded so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest, not from the threat of a gun pointed at me or the thought of losing my life in an instant, but from a deeper, more consuming fear.

Fear of losing the person I love more than anything in this world. The thought of watching her slip away, powerless to stop it, filled me with a dread that was far worse than any danger to my own life. It wasn't just fear—it was agony, the kind that twists your soul and makes you wish you could trade places, just to save them from being taken away.

Solenn stared straight into my eyes and gave me a sweet smile, as if to say, 'It's okay' then she softly whispered into the air, 'You can do it, my love' It was in that moment that I finally understood what she meant.

"I'm very sorry, Zyleith" Richard uttered as if he's ready to shoot her at any moment.

She gave me a mischievous wink, that moment I already know what to do.

"Aaaaaaarrgghhh!! fuck!!!"

I quickly sank my teeth into him, biting down hard to break free from his tight hold on me. In the same instant, I drove my knee into the most vulnerable part of him with every ounce of strength I had left, as well as Solenn is doing her part by suddenly trying to take the gun from Richard and they're fighting now, struggling over the gun.

Xavier growls in pain while holding his sensitive part down there, I kicked him causing him to fall on the ground, then I quickly grabbed the gun and pointed at him.

"Hahahahaha wow! I didn't expect that coming huh! I shouldn't be too complacent damn, you surprised me huh hahahahaha!" He said unbelievably as he laughed crazily while sitting on the ground.

"Don't you dare move! you're done, you'll pay for everything you did!" I shouted bitterly, my eyes became watery again.

He just laughed again "Really? what will you do huh? are you planning to shoot me? HAHAHAHAHA! do you even know how to use that thing, pretty lady? I bet you don't haha" He said teasingly.

Maybe he's thinking that I'm just bluffing, but he's right that maybe I can't shoot him because I'm not that type of person, this is the very first time also that I hold this kind of thing for pete's sake! I have no choice.

"Ugh! you're no fun, why don't you put the thrill in this? shoot me!! shoot me you motherfucker! hahahaha pull the trigger already bitch!" Now he's really challenging me, Gosh. my hands are shaking, I'm so nervous yet scared because of this lunatic.

Now I'm getting furious, I'm fighting the urge to pull the trigger, my emotions are getting ahead of me and this is bad! I hate it.

Suddenly, my beloved woman is bringing me back to my right mind, but I also know that he won't just stop easily.

"You already defeated him, as I expected hahahaha! that motherfucker is weak, ugh! useless as fuck" He said disappointedly, refering to Solenn defeating Richard.

Solenn who's exhausted leaned to us and suddenly kicked him, he just laughed at it, he's laughing creepily.

"You're doomed! you better surrender bastard, you've lost" She said firmly while pointing the gun at him.
