"Recalling the dark past"

[2006] 11 years ago..

I got home at seven o'clock in the evening, my friends and I had coffee outside after class. Before I could even enter my bedroom, I heard my dad's voice coming from his bedroom, he sounds angry because he's yelling at the person he was talking on the telephone.

I don't know but maybe out of curiosity I went in front of dad's bedroom, I'm very nervous while listening.

"Just stop bothering me! whatever your problem now, it has nothing to do with me! it's not my problem! I already gave you money so stop bothering me Carolina! you can't get anything from me anymore!" Dad yelled angrily.

"I have no obligation to you so leave me alone! I won't--" Dad was stunned for a moment.

"Are you threatening me?!! don't you dare Carolina! and do you think anyone will believe you especially my daughter?! you're crazy desperate! I'm warning you, don't make me--" Dad's voice shaking a bit this time.

"Damnit!! that woman! I need to get ahead of her before she ruins my image and reputation" I immediately ran to my bedroom before dad caught me listening to their conversation.

My hunch tells me something bad is going to happen, and also based on what I heard from dad.

When I heard the slamming of dad's bedroom door, I went out to follow him.

I didn't catch up with dad when I went downstairs but I knew exactly where he was going so it's okay, he's going to meet his mistress again.

I used my motorbike that was one of my mom's gifts to me to go there, while I'm on my way I'm getting more and more nervous.

I was almost drenched in sweat when I reached the squatter area where dad's mistress and their son lives.

I felt a mixture of nervousness and fear as I approached the house, I think I can't go any further.

What am I doing? I'm just wasting my time.

*silencer gunshot*

"AAAAAAA!!! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!!! YOU'RE EVIL!!!! WHY??!! WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!!! AAAAAAA!!! N-NO NO NO!!! WAKE UP!!! PLEASE WAKE UP!!!AAAAA NOOOO!!!" My heart almost jumped out of my chest when someone screamed as my spirit almost separated from my body.

What's happening??! I can't move oh God! what should I do??!

"I-I DIDN'T M-MEAN IT! D*MN! I SWEAR!! I WAS J-JUST T-THREATENING H-HER BUT SHE SUDDENLY TRIED TO GRAB THE GUN FROM ME!! WE FIGHTED OVER IT A-AND! A-AND I ACCIDENTALLY PULLED THE TRIGGER!! I-IT'S NOT MY FAULT! D*MN IT!!" Another screams and goodness! it's my dad! what's on earth is going on???!!

I'm having a mix feeling this time including curiosity, I took a deep breath while holding the doorknob.

My dad is holding a silencer gun, a GUN!

"AAAAAAA!!! WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE?!! W-WHY SHE'S BLEEDING A LOT??!! D-DAD??! W-WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!!! W-HHY DID YOU DO THAT?!!! Y-YOU K*LLED H-HER!!" I screams at the top of my lungs. I'm trembling in shock and fear because of the horror I'm witnessing.

"YOU'RE EVIL!!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!!! I WILL ALSO TAKE THE LIFE OF YOUR BELOVED DAUGHTER AND YOUR LIFE!!! GO TO HELL!!!" He screamed furiously as he immediately grabbed the wood chair. I closed my eyes and I can't move, I couldn't evade from his actions.

"NOOOO!!!! WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTER?!!! YOU UNGRATEFUL PEST!!!!" Dad shouted angrily as he pointed the gun at him and immediately then pulled the trigger without even thinking.
