"Surprise Arrival"
She was on her way now, finally returning after a long and exhausting flight. After resting for a day, she had booked a room at a resort, and in just an hour or two, she would be there.
With no family to welcome her back to their home in El Nido, Palawan, she decided to go straight to her friend’s place and stay for a few days. No one would be looking for her, anyway—her entire family was in the United States.
"Finally, after almost five years, I’m back. I know I left you twice, but I swear this time, I’ll never leave. I’ll never leave you again."
No words could express the happiness she felt at returning, nor the excitement of seeing the one she had longed for all these years.
Leaning her head against the car window, she gazed outside, lost in thought.
"Forgive me for leaving when you needed me the most. Forgive me for doing nothing when my family forced me to live in the U.S. with them."
Her eyes welled up with tears.
No matter how great her life and career had been in another country, she couldn’t erase the regret—the regret of leaving the person she loved the most.
"I promise I’ll do everything to make it up to you. I’ll stay by your side no matter what happens, even if you don’t want to see me anymore. Even if you don’t want me in your life. Still, I’ll never leave you again, my love."
She wiped her tears away, trying to compose herself.
Even though they had been in different countries, they had never lost contact.

Meanwhile…
Zyleith glanced at the lively woman beside her and noticed Akari stifling a yawn, looking exhausted.
"You look tired. It's almost five o'clock—let's take a break," Zyleith suggested.
Akari's face instantly lit up.
"Really? What a relief!" she cheered, immediately stretching her arms.
Zyleith chuckled, watching her.
"She’s so cute."
"Ms. Sekiguchi, coffee for two, please," Zyleith requested.
"はい!マスター (Hai! Masutā) Yes, Master!" Akari replied enthusiastically, bowing her head before heading to the kitchen.
Zyleith couldn’t help but laugh.
"Even when she's tired, her bubbly personality shines through. I love that about her."
She leaned back and stretched.
"Haaa... Damn, my back. My butt is numb," she muttered.
Moments later, Akari returned with two cups of coffee and placed them on the table.
"Thank you," Zyleith said, offering a small smile.
"Are you hungry? I can order some snacks," she added.
Akari’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Hm, please? Thank you!" she said, giving Zyleith puppy eyes.
Zyleith sighed playfully.
"This koala… I'm too lazy to go downstairs, but that’s not a problem."
She picked up the phone and called room service.
"It’ll be here in a few minutes," she said as she sat beside Akari.
Akari turned to her, a hint of concern in her eyes.
