Charlotte was a nervous wreck meeting her dad this morning. She didn't know how this would go or if he would show up. In her mind the worst thing was that he didn't show up and the two lived their lives nothing happened. She had gotten texts from Jackson, Lucy, Wesley and surprisingly Angela had somehow gotten her number wishing her luck this morning. It didn't help her nerves though.
"Hey Charlie! Wesley's not with you today?" the barista asked as she began making Charlotte's usual order.
"Hey Liv, I'm actually meeting my dad here. I'll be here with Wes later this week though," Charlotte answered.
"Oh? Your dad? Is he living in LA?"
"Yeah, I just learned about it a few weeks ago. Can you still put my stuff on Wesley's card? He won't notice a few bucks missing I'm pretty sure," Charlotte asked, causing Olivia to laugh.
"Of course hun. I'll have it right out," Olivia told her. "I think your dad is back there, he's been watching ya like a hawk since you walked in."
"He has?" Charlotte asked.
"Yeah, and you two look exactly alike. I'll bring your order over to you hun, go see your dad," the barista told the girl.
Charlotte let out a deep breath that she had been holding in. She slowly turned around and her eyes landed on her father who was sitting at a table a few feet from the counter. Charlotte felt her eyes water, "Charlotte–" her father started to say before he was cut off by his daughter wrapping her arms around him. "I'm so sorry," Bobby Nash told his daughter.
"I forgive you... I-I just want to know why? Why didn't you tell me you were in LA when you knew I was living here?" Charlotte asked as the two sat down at the table.
"I was going to right when I moved here. I wanted to make sure I didn't fall off again. I don't want you to see me the way I was before." Bobby explained.
"I told you when I came to LA that I would always be there for you. You just fell off the face of the planet and then started contacting me after I graduated college and before I went into the academy," Charlotte replied as Olivia brought her her latte and her scone.
"I know– I just couldn't get it out of my mind that you saw me as a failure as a dad after that night."
"Dad, I never saw you as a failure. I knew you needed time to heal. What hurt me was that you stopped talking to me after I came to UCLA and never came and visited me." Charlotte told her father.
"I know and I hate myself for not coming out here sooner. I just wanted to set my life straight. And I promise I do. I have a stable life now–" Bobby exclaimed.
Charlotte could see his genuine answer was and that he wouldn't go back to the life he used to live when she was a teenager. "I know you do. I've dreamed about this moment for so long. I'm so happy that you have a good life now. I just want to be in it now, do you think I can be in your life again?" Charlotte asked.
Bobby shook his head and teared up as well as Charlotte, "Yes. I want us to be a family again. I promise I won't ever hurt you again."
Charlotte smiled as her father took her hand and held it in his. "Well, I think we have a lot to catch up on then...""Like the fact you're a police officer?" Bobby said raising his eye.
"I guess saving people runs in our family," Charlotte said causing the two to laugh.
The rest of their breakfast was so sincere with her dad and felt a big weigh coming off of her shoulders.

"Should we be flattered that Sergeant Grey selected us to represent the department at this block party?" Jackson asked as Charlotte was setting up the table with LAPD buttons and stickers making sure everything was in order.
