Charlotte looked at herself in her mirror as she was getting ready for her first day back to work. She took a deep breath, hoping today would go smoothly and no panic attacks would arise today. Ever since Adam kidnapped her and the whole building fire, her panic attacks had returned. The first one happened when she was at Eddie's house as they were having dinner with Christopher, and she had to excuse herself to calm down in the bathroom. Eddie had been a rock for her, helping her through each episode with patience and understanding.

"So, um... How is Lucy and Charlie?" John asked as he was sitting in the dining room area before their shift.

"Lucy made me run out to buy her concealer at 6:00 a.m. to cover the tattoo. She does it every morning. And Charlie had a bad night terror last night, she couldn't fall back asleep until she knew everyone was safe and there were no fire hazards around."

"Well, wouldn't you? After what Charlie had been through and Lucy... I mean can you imagine walking around with a serial killer's brand on you? When can she have it removed?" John asked as Lucy walked into the kitchen area.

"Four weeks, two days, nine hours," Lucy replied.

"Hey, for you and Charlie's first day back, I thought you could use some sugar and some carbs," John said, handing her a plate of croissants.

"Oh, that's sweet." Lucy said taking it from him.

"Literally."

"You should have gotten Charlie scones. She loves those more than croissants," Lucy said as she had gone with Charlotte to the small coffee shop often over the past few weeks.

"Oh, I do." John said holding up another plate just for Charlotte.

"Speaking of, did she end up falling back asleep?" Lucy asked Jackson.

"She did–" Jackson began to say before an exhausted Charlotte walked out of her room.

"I somewhat did... I need coffee," Charlotte muttered as Jackson already had the coffee he made her in his hands. "Aw for me?"

"I knew you would need it," Jackson replied, handing the mug over to her.

"Thank you," Charlotte said, taking a sip from her mug.

"Got you something for your first day back!" John said, handing her a plate of scones from her favorite coffee shop.

"Aw John, you didn't have too!" Charlotte said, sitting down beside John and taking the plate from him.

"So, are you two ready?" John asked Charlotte and Lucy.

Charlotte glanced over at Lucy knowing the two a few days ago felt like they weren't ready to go back. "Absolutely. Doctor Signed off on our physicals, the department shrink signed off on the mental."

"Can you do us one favor?" Charlotte asked John exchanging a look with Lucy.

"Anything."

"We just don't want everybody clapping during roll call, so–" Charlotte began to say.

"Well, that's tradition, though. You know, I mean, you two did survive something like that, they're gonna want to show you some respect..." John began to say as he looked at Charlotte and Lucy who had a look on their face saying they didn't want it. "I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you," Lucy and Charlotte said.

"Hey, did Henry and Abigail make it in last night?" Jackson asked.

"Yes. Boy, they have a whole list of wedding venues they need to investigate." John exclaimed.

"Oh, fun," Jackson said somewhat sarcastically.
