To celebrate just a few shortdays before Charlotte was going to move into the Diaz household, Charlotte and Eddie decided to take Christopher to the beach for a day. The sun was shining brightly, and the sound of waves crashing against the shore filled the air as they set up their spot on the sand, ready for a day of fun and relaxation.

"Oh, look at him. Feel like I won the lottery," Eddie exclaimed as they were watching Christopher play in the sand.

"He seems so happy," Charlotte replied with a smile on her face.

"I swear, that kid was born happy," Eddie said.

"I wonder where he gets it from," Charlotte said softly chuckling.

Eddie looked at her with a 'come on' look on his face, "From me."

"Oh, you?" Charlotte asked, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "Mr. Broody?"

"Well, hopefully he gets your brains," Eddie said, Charlotte looked at her boyfriend, "He can't get by just on my good looks."

"Oh, gosh. Nice one..." Charlotte said shaking her head and laughing along with Eddie.

"You know, he loves having you around," Eddie stated.

"Does he?" Charlotte said looking into Eddie's eyes and seeing he truly had meant what he said.

"He does. When you left after the night we told him you were moving in he couldn't stop talking about how excited he was," Eddie truthfully told her.

Eddie's words made Charlotte's heart swell, and she leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender kiss that conveyed all the emotions they felt but couldn't put into words. "That makes me happy to hear," Charlotte said with a faint smile. "What does Shannon think of me moving in?" Charlotte asked knowing he most likely hadn't told her.

Eddie's smile turned into a small frown for a second, "Well, I feel like she would be fine with it."

"You haven't told her?" Charlotte asked shaking her head at him.

"No. It's not a topic of conversation when she comes and sees Christopher," Eddie replied. He gently brushed a strand of hair from Charlotte's face that the wind had blown.

"Eddie..." Charlotte hummed out knowing he needed to do this sooner than later.

"I know, I know. I'll tell her tomorrow," Eddie said with a slight sigh in frustration.

Charlotte shook her head, "I think we should have dinner together. Meaning, I will cook something and we all will have a grown up conversation."

Eddie nodded, "Only if you make that chicken dish you made last week."

"Deal." Charlotte laughed softly, leaning in as Eddie met her halfway, their lips meeting in a brief, affectionate kiss.

Charlotte spent the night in her apartment as she was finishing up packing since she was moving at the end of the week. Exhausted, she finally fell into a deep sleep, surrounded by half-filled boxes and scattered belongings.

Suddenly, she was jolted awake by the sound of scratching and a cold nose nudging her arm. Groggily opening her eyes, she found a dog wagging its tail excitedly beside her bed. Startled, she let out a small yelp and pulled the covers up over her head, muttering under her breath, "Of all things, why a dog?"

"Kojo! Kojo! Such a good boy! Are you so excited to meet Charlie?!" Lucy asked trying to get the dog from jumping onto Charlotte's bed with Jackson watching the scene from behind Lucy.
