Charlotte laid wide awake as her alarm began to blare throughout the room. She had a feeling something was going to go wrong today. Lucy had found out what was happening whenever Charlotte walked out of Sergeant Grey's office after telling him the situation she was in the other day. Sergeant Grey had given her the day off since Charlotte had to be at the court all day. Lucy knocked on her door being the first one up beside Charlotte and walked in and sat beside her on Charlotte's bed. "I have a feeling–" Charlotte whispered to Lucy.

"Good or bad feeling?" Lucy asked.

"Bad feeling. Something's gonna happen today I can feel it Lucy," Charlotte whispered.

"It's going to be okay. You'll get through today and when you do you, me, Jackson, and John will go and get drinks tonight." Lucy told her.

Jackson knocked on the door and walked in, "hey."

"I have a feeling," Charlotte whispered.

Lucy and Jackson exchanged a look and tried to keep a positive view on today but nothing would change Charlotte's mind as she had a feeling that today was going to end up badly.

Charlotte felt sick to her stomach as she sat waiting for Wesley to show up to the courthouse. Her phone kept going off as Eddie was trying to call her. "Shit," Charlotte whispered, realizing she hadn't told Eddie about any of this. She had meant to tell Eddie over the weekend but had totally forgotten to. Charlotte blinked back a tear as she continued to bounce her leg from the nerves of having to face Ben today for the first time in three years.

A few moments later she heard someone saying her name. Charlotte looked up and saw John walking up to her, "John?" Charlotte asked, standing up.

"Charlie? What are you doing here?" John asked giving her a hug. "And not in uniform?"

"Uh, just some personal things needing to get situated and this was the only time that the judge could do it. So, Grey gave me the day off..." Charlotte told him.

"So that's why you weren't at roll call this morning?" John questioned.

"Yeah, yeah. That's totally why. Why are you here?" Charlotte asked, noticing he was in uniform.

John chuckled slightly as he said, "Remember that car accident that was caused by that drugged driver? I need to testify on stand for that. First time on the stand, pretty nervous."

"You'll be fine. You always are. Being on stand isn't that bad–" Charlotte began to say before realizing what she said.

"Yeah, I guess it's not that bad. I'll see you afterwards?" John asked.

"Yeah. Yeah. I really need those drinks tonight..." Charlotte whispered as John nodded and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I have a feeling." Charlotte told him.

"It's going to be okay," John told her pulling her into a hug not knowing the full scale of what was happening to Charlotte today.

John left and Wesley walked up a few moments later, "Hey Charlie. How are you feeling?" Wesley asked as he hugged her.

"As good as someone could be when she's about to take stand against the man who mentally and physically abused you for two years," Charlotte told him.

"We've got this in the bag. Don't you worry. I have plenty of dirt on him to keep him behind bars for a bit longer," Wesley told her.

"Then why did I wake up with a weird feeling that this day will go terribly wrong?"

"Everything will be fine. Trust me. I'm a great attorney, remember? I win dozens of cases each week," Wesley told her causing Charlotte to nod. "Now come on. I to defend someone before your case goes on."
