Get ready y'all! This is an extra long one for tonight!
"Do you want to talk about it?" Charlotte asked Eddie as she was getting ready for a scone run with Wesley. It seemed that Wesley needed to ask her something rather important.
"Talk about what?" Eddie replied, his tone edged with annoyance with what had happened yesterday. "About how my entire family thinks we should move to Texas? Right when I'm about to be an official LA firefighter and you're about to be an official LA officer in a few months?"
Charlotte sighed as her phone dinged saying Wesley had arrived to get her.
Charlotte placed a hand on Eddie's arm as he was about to leave the bathroom, "It's hard, Eddie. It's frustrating. You have every right to be annoyed at them. We will get through this together, and we'll make the best decisions for our own futures." Charlotte gave Eddie a reassuring kiss and walked out of the bathroom to grab her purse, "Wesley's here to pick me up. I'll see you after my shift tonight."
Eddie pulled her in for one more kiss before she left, "Be safe, Charlie. I love you."
She looked into his eyes and said, "I love you too, Eddie. Stay safe."

"Man, I haven't had a scone this good in ages," Charlotte exclaimed, taking a bite of her blueberry scone from her and Wesley's favorite coffee shop.
Wesley chuckled, "The last time we were here was after the stabbing accident," Wesley reminded her.
"That's why it's been awhile since I've had a good scone," Charlotte replied.
"So, how's it been living with Eddie?"
"It's been amazing. It definitely was a big adjustment, but we're really happy. I think Christopher is also happy that I moved in. His parents are given him a hard time right now, though. They're wanting him to move back to Texas..."
Wesley's eyes widened, "What? They want him to move back to Texas? He seriously isn't thinking about moving back after you two just moved in together."
Charlotte nodded her head and said, "I know he isn't by his way he reacted. I'm pretty sure he's still committed to staying here. Plus he's already worked too hard to build his life in LA just to give it up."
Wesley reached across the table and gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. "You both have come so far. Just keep supporting each other, and everything will work out eventually. Eddie's family will come around sooner or later."
"Probably the latter." Charlotte said, causing the two to laugh. "Okay, enough about me, how are things between you and Angela?"
A grin formed on Wesley's face causing Charlotte to raise her eye at him, "Things are great, actually. That's why I wanted to meet with you today."
"Oh? Do tell," Charlotte said with a smile on her face thinking she knew what he was going to say to her.
"I'm going to propose to her tomorrow. How do you think I should propose to her?"
Charlotte's smile widened in excitement. She clasped her hands together and was practically bouncing up and down in her seat in excitement, "Oh my gosh, Wesley! That's amazing! She's going to be so excited about this! Oh I have so many ideas!"
Wesley laughed at Charlotte's enthusiasm as his nervousness about the whole topic washed away from his mind. "Oh thank God. I'm so glad you're on board with this. I really need to make this perfect. I was thinking... Massages, then ride horses, and fly in a hot-air balloon."
Charlotte raised her eye at the man as that was an insane way to propose to someone, "You haven't told her you were doing that right?"
"Uh... No?" Wesley said as his excitement faltered.
