After celebrating John's birthday for a bit, Charlotte got a text from Maddie saying she was there to pick her up, "Let me know if I need to come get you," Lucy exclaimed as Charlotte grabbed her work bag.
"I will. See you two later tonight. Happy birthday again John," Charlotte said, giving John a hug before she left.
She walked over to where Maddie had parked and climbed into the car. Maddie could tell something was bothering Charlotte from what Chimney had told her it was bad. "Hey, how was the rest of your shift after the whole highway fiasco?"
"Nothing too productive. Tickets here and there and then a bunch of paperwork," Charlotte said leaving out the part of where Jackson got high. The two chatted for a while until Maddie found a good time to ask, "So what exactly happened between you and Eddie?"
"How did you–"
"Chimney told me something about you two being on a break?" Maddie questioned causing Charlotte to sigh.
"He kissed Shannon. He admitted that he didn't pull away. Am I being over dramatic with this whole situation?" Charlotte asked.
Maddie shook her head, "No. I don't think you're being overdramatic at all. I would be doing the exact same thing if I was in your shoes. You have every right to feel hurt and confused. It's not just about the kiss, it's about trust," Maddie told her.
"I guess you're right. It's just with my last relationship, I was so blinded by how much I loved the guy without even knowing what he was mentally doing to me," Charlotte said.
Maddie slowly nodded understanding what she had gone through with her relationship with Doug, but didn't want to bear her burdens on Charlotte. "Tonight, I'm gonna forget about this and just have fun for a change." Charlotte exclaimed as Maddie got a text from Chimney asking what they wanted to drink.
"What do you want to drink? Chimney's about to order," Maddie asked.
"Something with tequila in it," Charlotte said as the Maddie pulled into the bar's parking lot.
A few moments later Maddie's phone went off, "He ordered you a Tequila Sunrise."
"Perfect."

Charlotte and Maddie walked into the bar trying to find where Chimney and Buck were, "This place is cute," Charlotte said, not having been there before.
"Right? It's our favorite place to come," Maddie said, causing Charlotte to raise her eye thinking her and Chimney were more serious than she was leading on.
Charlotte saw Chimney waving at the two and Maddie grabbed her hand as they squeezed through the crowd to get over to the table.
"Hi. Sorry we're late. I don't know why I get on the freeway. I always regret it," Maddie said as she slid into the chair beside Chimney and Charlotte went over to sit beside Buck who was looking at her weird.
"Because you are an eternal optimist, that's why," Chimney exclaimed.
"That's true," Maddie said.
"Are you two hungry?" Chimney asked Maddie and Charlotte.
"Oh yeah, I haven't eaten anything since lunch," Charlotte exclaimed.
"Should we get that thing we got last time?" Maddie asked Chimney.
"Uh, Last time?" Buck asked, exchanging a look with Charlotte who shrugged clueless as he was.
"Here we go." the waitress said, handing Maddie her glass of Chardonnay and then Charlotte her Tequila Sunrise.
