As they headed to the house, Harper told Charlotte she would be going in with her, pretending that Charlotte had also known the man during those two years in college. Charlotte felt her phone buzz just as she was about to step out of the car. She glanced down and saw a message from Eddie, asking her to call him when she had the chance. She hesitated for a moment, then slipped the phone back into her pocket, deciding to focus on the task at hand.

Charlotte stepped out of the car as Harper said, "Stay here. We won't be long."

Charlotte began to walk behind Harper causing Armstrong to stop the two, "Excuse me. With all do respect, we should all be in there with you, in case things go sideways. And why Nash? Why not take Price?" Armstrong asked, looking at the three of them.

"I knew him back in my college days," Charlotte simply replied, shrugging her shoulders, ignoring the look that John was giving her.

"She's right. And Negative. Our guy is skittish. If we need you, we will signal."

Charlotte glanced over at her T.O. and gave him a small nod which he returned. She walked behind Harper up to the house. As they entered the empty house Charlotte closed the door behind them and asked, "So I'm assuming we're just pretending to be looking for our guy while the signal picks up Armstrong's burner phone?" Charlotte asked once the door was closed and the two walked into the living room.

"Precisely." Harper replied as Charlotte glanced around the room for a moment before Harper asked awkwardly to fill the quietness of the room, "So, how are things between you and Eddie?"

"Uh, it's going really well, actually," Charlotte said hesitantly. "It's just... is it normal to feel guilty about not telling him what's happening at work? I mean, like what we're doing right now. He can't know any of it."

"It's a part of our job, Charlie," Harper explained. "The more people who know, the greater the risk of someone getting hurt. It's not about keeping secrets; it's about keeping everyone safe."

Charlotte sighed, nodding reluctantly. "I get it. I just hate feeling like I'm hiding things from him."

Harper placed a reassuring hand on Charlotte shoulder. "I know it's tough, but you're not hiding things out of deceit. You're protecting him. Trust me, keeping him in the dark is the best way to make sure he stays safe. And that's what really matters, right?"

Charlotte took a deep breath and nodded. "Yeah, you're right. I just hope he understands if he ever finds out. I don't want to lose his trust over this."

Harper gave a small smile. "If he really cares about you, he'll understand. Sometimes, doing the right thing means making hard choices. Just remember, you're not alone in this."

Suddenly, Harper's phone began to ring causing Charlotte to look at it seeing John's contact appearing on the screen. Harper put the call on speaker as John said, "hey."

"How's he doing?" Harper questioned.

"Uh, definitely anxious."

"He text anyone?" Charlotte asked out of curiosity.

"No, not yet," John replied.

"All right. We will stay inside for another 10 minutes. Make him sweat."

A few moments after the phone call, Harper and Charlotte spent about five minutes chatting about random topics. Suddenly, the door to the house swung open, and they both turned to see Armstrong walking in. Charlotte quickly composed herself, her expression shifting to one of surprise.

"Wha- You- You were supposed to stay outside." Harper exclaimed, clearly caught off guard since this wasn't part of their plan.

"Where's your guy?" Armstrong asked impatiently looking at Charlotte and then to Harper.
