(Episode 13 will be a two parter!)
"I can't believe our building raised the prices. I can barely afford the apartment we are living in!" Charlotte complained as her and Jackson were walking towards John and Lucy who were talking to each other.
"I know, I wish we got a little bit more money so we could just afford this apartment," Jackson sighed out.
"I don't think we will get a raise anytime soon. If I can't make my next rent, I'll have to go back to living with my dad for a bit," Charlotte sighed.
"We'll figure something out... we always do–"
"Good morning," Charlotte and Jackson simultaneously said to John and Lucy."You two are here bright and early," John noted, seeing the two already in their uniforms.
"He made me get here early. He's my ride since I don't have a car," Charlotte told John who nodded.
"Hey, if you're not early, you're late," Jackson told Charlotte.
"That's a stupid saying," Lucy said.
"What's her problem?" Jackson asked John.
"Uh–" John pointed to his shirt which had a picture of Lucy from the night shift after she had fallen asleep.
"I wore mine in too!" Jackson exclaimed.
"Boys–" Charlotte muttered causing Lucy to laugh
"It's not the T-shirt, although it is annoying. I can't find a place to live," Lucy said.
"You could always move back home," Jackson stated.
"No, I really can't."
"Or you can bunk up with Nolan. He lives in a mansion," Charlotte commented causing Lucy to shoot her a look.
"Hey, it's not a mansion. It's a guest house of a mansion. But you're welcome to crash on the couch if you need to," John told Lucy.
"Yeah, thanks. But I am determined to find a nice, clean, affordable place to live, even if it kills me," Lucy replied and left the three.
"It's not a mansion," John told Jackson and Charlotte.
"It's a mansion," Charlotte replied.

"I most likely won't be able to pay this month's rent Jackson," Charlotte said as the two walked into the briefing room.
"We will figure something out, we always do–" Jackson trailed off, noticing Sergeant Grey was sitting in the first row where the rookies usually sit.
"Sergeant Grey?" Charlotte questioned not knowing if this was some sort of test or not.
"Go on with your normal conversations," he simply replied, causing Jackson and Charlotte to look at one another.
"We might have to find a new place," Charlotte told Jackson.
"No, we don't. I can pay your half and then we can figure something out next month," Jackson replied.
Lucy shortly walked in noticing Sergeant Grey is sitting where John usually sits. "Hey, did you ever go out with pretty boy from that bar?" Lucy asked Charlotte.
"You mean Eddie? I mean kinda? I babysat Officer Price's daughter for them on Valentine's Day and Eddie has a kid so we decided to go to the park so the kids could play and we could talk," Charlotte replied, earning a look from Jackson and Lucy.
"So it was a playdate not a date," Jackson asked.
"Yeah, but at the end of it he asked if we could go on an actual date without kids on our next day off which is this week. So I'm going out with Eddie Diaz this Friday and have nothing to wear," Charlotte exclaimed leaning back in her chair.
