Charlotte's leg bounced up and down in Eddie's truck as the two pulled up to Angela's house. "Are you nervous?" Eddie asked with a faint smile on his face.

"What no... I uh, you are just gonna be meeting the person who is like a brother to me. That's all," Charlotte said.

"Charlie, it's gonna be fine. I'm sure he won't give me the same talk your dad gave me..." Charlotte raised her eye at that. "Look, it's gonna be fine! What could go wrong?" Eddie said.

"Everything. The house catches on fire, someone might choke to death, someone might have a heart attack," Charlotte listed off.

"Good thing there will be a firefighter in the house." Eddie pointed out.

"You know what I mean–" Charlotte exclaimed.

"No, I don't."

"You think getting my dad's approval is hard, just wait for Wesley..." Charlotte told Eddie as she got out of the car.

"Wait, it's harder than Cap's?!"

That night actually went pretty good in Charlotte's opinion. Eddie and Wesley immediately hit it off as Charlotte and Angela were chatting about a few work related topics. Charlotte walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water and Wesley followed. He knew something's been up with Charlotte's weird mood the entire night, "Does Eddie have your stamp of approval?" Charlotte asked.

"I think he may. Just waiting till after dessert to see if it's an actual green light," Wesley said, causing Charlotte to softly chuckle. "I've been meaning to ask you, is everything okay? You just seem a bit distracted tonight."

Charlotte sighed as she grabbed a glass and poured some water into the glass, "Why does everyone think I'm not okay?"

"Because they're worried like I am. Seriously, what's with you? Angela said that you have been off recently." Wesley said.

Charlotte paused for a moment before putting the glass of water down and took out a piece of paper that was in her pocket and handed it to Wesley. Wesley took the paper and began to unfold it, "On October 23rd, Charlotte Ann Nash is requested to appear for a hearing of Ben Holland to speak against the pending release. Please reply by October 19th." Charlotte recited.

"Oh Charlie... They seriously aren't thinking about releasing him. He's only been incarcerated for barely two years."

"Out of five years. They said it was for his good behavior," Charlotte told him.

"I don't believe that for a second," Wesley exclaimed. "Who else knows?"

"You and me. I-I don't want to bring anyone else into this," Charlotte whispered, blinking back a few tears.

Wesley placed the letter down on the counter and wrapped his arms around her, "It'll be okay." Wesley whispered so the others wouldn't be alarmed in the other room. "It'll be okay."

Charlotte sat beside her father in Mass the next day. She doesn't practice Catholicism anymore, but she wanted to be there for her father and her sister who would have been thirteen today. "For justice and peace in the world, and that our leaders may be illuminated by the grace of God. We pray to the Lord." The priest said.

"Lord, hear our prayer." Charlotte along with everyone in the congregation said.

"And for the repose of the soul of Brook Nash. we pray to the Lord."

Charlotte grabbed her father's hand blinking back a tear threatening to fall down her face.
