Rehan's P.O.V.
Mahi and I have not spoken to each other since we had come back from shopping for groceries, her stubbornness was literally one of her most hated traits by me. I had not meant calling her the other women that way, I was just trying to explain to her, Alizeh's point of view.
I would never call Mahi the other woman, in any negative context because she was not, she is my legally wedded wife, and in reality, it was Alizeh who is the other woman now.
But I have decided, I am not always going to be the one to apologize, and this time not. She is nitpicking at my words, and taking them how she wants to. Mahi needs to show a level of maturity, she isnt so little anymore and she isn't in Huntsville anymore. . this time she needs to come to me, and that's final.
"Rehan?" Azlaan knocked on my office door as I went through my inbox, which was backed up with hundreds of emails. I had taken a day off for Mahi yesterday because I had felt guilty about what had happened on her first day here.
"Come in," I exhaled heavily leaning back in my chair as he walked in with two coffee cups. "How did you know?"
"Just do," He placed my cup of coffee infront of me, and asked, "Trouble in paradise already?"
I give him a pointed look, "Not in the mood for jokes."
Azlaan made himself at home on the couch I have in my office, "Mahi Ville or Liza Ville?"
"Mahi Ville," I replied taking a sip of my coffee, "She is just so fucking stubborn man,"
"What do you mean?"
I explained the whole situation to him, and I actually felt a lot better being able to share what had been bothering me the whole night, Azlaan sat up straighter, "Have you ever thought that maybe she did feel like the other woman?"
"Azlaan, I have never-"
"Think outside of yourself," He cut me off, "I know you wouldnt do that, but have you thought about what she feels?" I sat up straighter as well not quite understanding what he meant. "Rehan, day one you. left her alone, day two your girlfriend calls and acts as if she is a nuisance, and on top of that, you, yourself bring the other women's card." Fuck, as realization sunk in. "She probably feels like an outsider in her own home, you were too busy seeing Alizeh's side to take her side under consideration."
Breathing out heavily I mentally kick myself, "Fuck man,"
"I think you just keep forgetting she is still just a 22-year-old, the age of dating, and having fun, and both of your parents shoved her into a marriage. that isnt really a marriage. I am not taking her side completely because she does need to. become mature. enough to voice her emotions, and. thoughts, but being older, you need to watch what you say to her." He was right, maybe my choice of words was not the best, but this is all new to me too. I didnt have to manage two girls at once, especially one that is so much younger than I am. Alizeh had the emotional majority of letting me know when I have messed up, but Mahi, still needs to. build it. I need to figure out a way to make this. easier, because if this battle between the. two keeps going on, I am going to end up. going crazy.
"And I also need to talk to Alizeh," I added, walking over to him and sit down infront of him. "Since when have you become so wise?"
Azlaan looked up at me, "I do not know, maybe it's just her innocence but Mahi makes me want to protect her. That day, when she called me her Bhai when I dropped her off, something just clicked. Maybe it's because I have no siblings, or maybe that's what's special about her."
