"Kinakaharap nina Pangulong Bernard A. Cayabyab at Desilate City Mayor Harold Cayabyab ang akusasyon sa kanila tungkol umano sa paggamit ng droga. Narito si Lilith Mariano para sa ilang detalye."

I watched intensely as my grip on the remote tighten when I heard their surname.

Pinagsisiksikan siya ng mga tao. Napangiwi pa ako nang makitang itinutulak ng guards ang ilang reporters na lumalapit sa Presidente.

"Ang akusasyon ay akusasyon lamang. Mga kababayan, huwag kayong maniwala sa mga paratang laban sa akin. Ako po ay matino, tapat at malinis." He answered, followed by a chuckle.

Are we playing 'two truths, one lie'? Even a one true word didn't slipped out from his dirty mouth.

I see Harold next. The man who stole our money. Mas malala, dahil wala man lang siyang tinira. Ang mamamayan? Nagbubulag-bulagan.

"Mayor Harold, may katotohanan po bang kinuha niyo ang fund sa Desilate City at ipinangbili ng ipinagbabawal na gamot?" The reporter asked bravely.

As she should. Dahil wala namang dapat ikahiya at ikatakot sa kagustuhang magkamit ng katarungan.

"Gaya nga ng sabi ng ating President, ang akusasyon ay akusasyon lamang. Hindi po ako magnanakaw at mas lalo pong hindi ako drug user."

Ang galing mag-manipulate.

I gripped the remote harder and pressed the red button. I sighed heavily and rest my head on the wall.

Nagtataka lang ako. Bakit pinapayagan nilang tumakbo ang mga corrupt, may criminal records at mga ginawang family reunion ang senado?

Required bang kapag isa kang Politician, kriminal ka?

I heard my phone buzzed. It was a call from my father so I picked it up fast.

["Chloe, my darling. Did you go to Savvy University? I have a friend there. I can ask him to accompany you."]

I shook my head like he can see it. "Dad, I didn't go to Savvy University. I'll be studying sa University of Makiling." I answered him.

That was my dream University. I didn't know I could passed so sinubukan ko ring mag-apply sa SavvU.

["Good luck, dear. My future Architect."]

Bittersweet.

I missed my Dad so much. Madalang na kaming magkita dahil nandito ako sa Nilacabb, at siya naka-stay pa rin sa China.
