"Two whole months," I sigh to myself, pacing around my room. It's maybe been a week since Wing-san instilled the Nen ban. "I can't study Nen for two whole months!" I repeat, exasperated. Why did I agree to this, again? I collapse backwards onto my bed, letting myself sink into the sheets. "I need to figure out how my Nen works. I have no idea what I'm doing." I close my eyes, take some slow deep breaths, and start practicing the 'Ten' Wing-san permitted.
After a few minutes pass, I decide it would be better to try to pursue other things. Well, lying here won't help. It'll be easier if I find something to distract myself with. I push myself up off the bed and try to find some motivation. "I should go check on Gon again..." I say out loud, and head over to his room.
So far this week, the three of us have built a fort that pretty much overtook Gon's whole room, we exhausted Rock Paper Scissors, Odd and Evens, Shoot Block Reload, any three player board games we were able to find in our rooms, and watched a couple of movies (while practicing 'Ten' of course). I even prepared lots of food to help my brother heal up. We've spent most of our time practicing 'Ten', but the moments in between have been pretty slow.
Arriving at my brother's room, I knock on the door rhythmically, seven times. "Come in Kira," he calls from the other side of the door.
"Good morning," I greet as I open the door. To no surprise, Killua is already in Gon's room. They are both lying down with their upper body hanging over the bed.
"Good morning," Gon greets from below.
I give them a confused look. "Did I miss something?"
"We were just seeing who could be upside down the longest," my brother informs me, as he readjusts himself upright.
I nod, "That seems like something you'd both be good at."
"Well I just won," Killua gloats, still half hanging over the side of the bed.
"Hey, not fair!" complains Gon. "Kira's here now, we should restart."
Killua pulls himself up. "Why? It's not as if she could beat one of us."
I cross my arms. "You're just upset I'm better at Ring of Light," I say proudly, referencing my gaming victory from last night.
"Whatever," he shrugs. "I'm way better at Sense of Allegiance, and it's a better game," he adds.
I roll my eyes. "Depends on who you ask."
Gon cocks his head to the side. "What are you guys talking about?"
"Video games," we answer simultaneously.
He starches the back of his head, "Oh, right."
Knowing Gon doesn't really play video games, I try to change the subject, "Have you thought of today's would you rather question?" I ask him curiously.
He perks up "I did!" He says excitedly. He glances between Killua and me, pausing to build suspense. "What's easier... kissing someone or ripping their heart out?"
Killua and I waste no time answering. "Ripping their heart out," we say in unison.
Killua scoffs at my response, "I'd like to see you try to take someone's heart."
A mischievous grin spreads across my face. "Should I start with yours?" I question him, as I poke him in the chest, right where his heart would be.
"Tch..." He knocks my hand away. "Like I'd ever give you the chance."
"We'll see," I lightly chuckle. "Well it looked cool when you did it to that serial murderer anyway."
"That was nothing." He turns his head, looking away from me and back towards Gon, "Should we start training?" he asks.
