Summery: Yeonjun and y/n are childhood sweethearts with a connection that can never be broken. Even after a mutual break up they always find themselves back together. . .
Y/N and Yeonjun's story was one of those rare, beautiful narratives that begin in childhood. They were the kind of sweethearts whose love seemed destined, transcending time and distance. When Yeonjun returned from America after two years, it was as if they had never been apart. Their connection was palpable, a silent acknowledgment of affection that didn't need words. Their families saw it, their friends saw it, and eventually, they saw it too. It wasn't long before they officially became a couple, much to the delight of everyone around them.
Their relationship was the epitome of young love – innocent, pure, and full of promise. When Yeonjun became a trainee at BigHit, their bond was put to the test. The rigorous training schedule, early mornings, and late nights began to take a toll on their time together. As Yeonjun's debut approached, their meetings became increasingly rare. Despite the challenges, their love remained steadfast. But Y/N understood the magnitude of his dream and the sacrifices it entailed.
"I remember our first date after you became a trainee," Y/N said one day, stirring her coffee absentmindedly. They were in their favorite café, a cozy little spot where they had spent countless hours talking about their dreams and future.
Yeonjun looked at her, the weight of unspoken words hanging between them. "I was so nervous that day. I kept checking my watch, worried I'd be late."
Y/N chuckled, a bittersweet smile on her lips. "You were late. Fifteen minutes. But I didn't mind. I was just happy to see you."
He reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "I've always hated how this dream of mine took me away from you."
"It's your passion, Yeonjun. It's what makes you who you are. I've always admired that about you," Y/N replied, her voice tinged with sadness.
They sat in comfortable silence, each lost in their thoughts. It was Yeonjun who broke the silence. "I think about us, you know. About how different things might have been if I wasn't training all the time."
Y/N squeezed his hand gently. "I think about it too. But then I see you on stage, living your dream, and I can't help but feel proud."
Yeonjun's eyes met hers, a mixture of gratitude and sorrow in his gaze. "But at what cost? I miss so many things, Y/N. I miss us."
The unspoken truth hovered in the air – their paths were diverging, and they both knew it. "Sometimes love means letting go," Y/N whispered, her voice barely audible.
Yeonjun's grip tightened. "Is that what we're doing? Letting go?"
"It's not giving up, Yeonjun. It's about wanting the best for each other, even if that means being apart," Y/N explained, her heart aching with each word.
Tears brimmed in Yeonjun's eyes. "I don't want to lose you."
"You won't," Y/N assured him, her own tears threatening to fall. "We'll always be a part of each other's lives, just in a different way."
They talked for hours, reminiscing about the past and pondering the future. As they walked out of the café, Yeonjun stopped and turned to her. "Can I do something? One last time?"
Y/N nodded, understanding his unspoken request. They shared a long, lingering kiss, a culmination of all their years together, filled with love, sorrow, and unyielding affection. It was a goodbye, but also a promise – a promise to cherish the memories, to support each other, and to remain connected, no matter where life took them.
